The free breakfast was just like any other hotel, very average. Room was clean. Did not like the fact the curtains were partial closure. It allowed a lot of the surrounding facility light in to the room.

The hotel is trying to update the rooms and I appreciate the effort. The maid service is NOT up to par. The floors in our room were never really cleaned...but, we had fresh towels every day!

A good place to stay.

I have been at the Red Lion about once every 10 years on visits. I've seen it change over the years! We were placed in one of the new rooms which had great beds, lots of plug in places for our electronics, and nice bathroom. Very nice! The halls were a different matter! Very messy due to remodeling. It was also a long walk to the front door, and the side doors weren't accessible from the outside. Breakfast was great! But it was quite a distance from the rooms. Still a good place to stay.

I booked a king pet room (2 adults, 1 small dog). We arrived to around 7pm after driving all day. There were 3 people before me so I anticipated a wait, but the wait was over 30 min. When we got to our room (#106), our key opened the door and it was OCCUPIED! I was mortified! We returned to the front desk and I told the attendant the situation and he apologized. He said they had been experiencing computer problems all day and had been working off paper. When the computers were back up, they must have not entered the booking for #106. It took over 30 minutes to try and find us a room. He offered me an "upgrade to a 2 qn room". I explained that we did not need 2 beds and a 2 qn room would not be an upgrade in my opinion. He the said that because the mishap of #106 was his fault, he would upgrade us to a suite. He said it would have a queen bed, but the space would be much larger and definately an upgrade! I accepted. The suite was on floor 4, 5 or 6 - my choice. So...I no longer had "pet-friendly ground floor" either. When we arrived at our "suite", it was the worst suite I have ever been in. From the hall way, you walk into a small room that feels like a storage room with a small couch, a generic (not built-in) closet cabinet, a tv, a few mis-matched hard chairs, and a small table. Then you have to walk through another door to the bath/bed space...which is exactly like a small economy 1 qn room. The window in this rm faces the interstate with constant road noise.

Red lion is freshly remodeled and the rooms are nice. Right next to the interstate so you can hear it all night.

Nice atop off I-80

Nice stop right off of I-80. They are redoing it so it will get even better. Would stay again for sure.
