Escape to this charming updated lake home which is located in a quiet, open, deep water cove, yet only 5 minutes from major shopping, dining, and many types of entertainment. It is also 10-15 minutes to restaurants by boat. The no wake zone makes it safer to swim from the dock and pier, yet only 150 yards from skiing and jet skiing. Location! Check out the map and it's close proximity to, well, most everything. This nicely appointed lake home has everything you need for a relaxing week at Lake Norman, yet feel close to all conveniences.

The updated kitchen features include granite counter tops and built in appliances. There are dining areas in the kitchen and outside upper deck areas. One bedroom is isolated as a suite with a wet bar and small refrigerator. It has one of the home's two walk in showers.

Enjoy the morning sun or exercise your shade options by enjoying a number of sitting areas for coffee and visiting. From the large screened in upper deck porch overlooking the lake to the shaded lower deck with another seating area, you can relax and enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Norman. From the sunny lakeside fire pit area to the convenient and spacious dock and pier, sun is plentiful. The sun begins to retreat late afternoon so you can enjoy a peaceful evening viewing the lake. Return to the fire pit area after dinner to enjoy s'mores or build a cozy fire and just relax.

Summer Fun

We loved our stay at the “Duck Cove”!! My family had such a wonderful time. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The dock for sunbathing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing during the day. S’mores by the fire at night and relaxing and reading on the screened in porch!! Paul was excellent at communicating and responded quickly when I had a question. We would definitely love to return in the future.

Great Spot on Lake Norman

The house was clean and comfortable and a great spot to spend a few days on the lake. The screened in patio was the perfect place to relax when not jumping off the dock to swim in the lake. Great communication from the owners as well!

Beautiful home

This is a lovely, convenient home with many amenities. Beautifully decorated and fully stocked. We had 6 adults but it would be great for families too. Very nice neighborhood and quiet cove where boaters respect the no-wake zone. We especially enjoyed the large screened in porch for meals.

A wonderful lake vacation

House was located in a great location on the lake with shade from the afternoon sun to enjoy dock for swimming and large screen porch for relaxing and dining. Home is well-kept and felt like you were enjoying a friend's lake home not a rental. Loved everything about this home. The owners were wonderful. Thank you for a great family vacation.

Love this property!

This is a perfect property to get away and enjoy the lake with family and friends. We have rented this home several times and always have a great stay. Lots of space for everyone, well appointed kitchen, the beds are comfortable and the screen porch and lower porch are awesome! Close to shopping and restaurants. Owner’s are easy to work with. Location was great, house was nice and had plenty of room for all 8 of us. But the outdoor areas were the best!!! We spent 90% of the time either on the screened in porch or by the water when we weren’t boating.

Paradise on Lake Norman

Our family of 7 (ranging in age from 12 to 74) stayed here in July, 2019. The house is perfectly situated in a quiet cove with a no-wake zone, and the house is just as it looks online. The outdoor area is amazing, with two seating areas on the deck, a seating area with swing under the deck, a seating area around the fire pit, and then a seating area on the dock. My favorite hang-out spot was the wonderful hammock that was in the shade all day. Indoors, our family was able to sit at the large table in the kitchen or hang out in the den with no space issues. The four bedrooms were nice and spacious, and there were plenty of pillows and extra blankets, etc. We really appreciated having 3 full baths for our family, too. The kitchen was huge and had everything you could need for equipment (toaster, toaster oven, blender, waffle iron, etc!), and there were plenty of a variety of dishes. We were so happy that there was a seating area near the kitchen for our parents to sit and relax where they could watch us cook or watch us play outdoors. And we did play outdoors quite a bit! This house provides 2 kayaks and some noodles and boogie boards for water play. We also enjoyed the games provided, including corn hole (outside) and chess inside. The home was lovely, with an amazing view from the den/kitchen and deck, and the pictures of the family around the house made it feel like a home. We really appreciated that the owners provided lots of toilet paper, paper towels, and shampoo and body wash. The washer and dryer also came in handy. We cannot say enough about this wonderful home, its location, and its amenities. We hope to be back again!!!

Great house

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable, living area was nice and open, house was clean and felt comfortable. Books and games provided for entertainment. Outside dock was spacious and the firpit provided a shady place to sit while still being a part of the action on the lake. No wake provides a safe place for kids to swim and play in the water, yet it’s nice to be so close to main channel for boating. Owners were very helpful and left great directions for an enjoyable visit. Bathrooms need updating, although they were fine. Vent fans and extra lighting would be an improvement. There were a few beach towels, but not many. Kitchen could use more than one skillet and some spices other than just salt and pepper.

Really nice lake home!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at this property. The house was very clean when we arrived. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, A/C worked great, master suite downstairs served as a nice hide-away for us parents. That is also where the washer/dryer was conveniently located. The landscaping was very pretty. Carpet on portions of the dock was a nice touch to prevent slivers and provided a cool place to walk as the summer heat intensified. The deep water cove was perfect for swimming safely away from boat traffic. The neighborhood was very quiet during the day and night. We enjoyed playing card games on the spacious deck when we weren’t swimming. We will definelty return!

This was a beautiful location for extended family to get together for an event in Davidson. Convenient to restaurants and grocery stores and the interstate. Grounds were immaculate and the house is clean and comfortable. Kitchen is organized and well equipped. No negatives to list.

Wonderful Lake Norman Home

Our week at Lake Norman in this lovely home was perfect. It offered an idyllic setting with a beautiful view of the lake. Whether it was fishing off the dock, kayaking, swimming, or enjoying happy hour on the large dock the lake provided such a relaxing venue. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely and the location of the home is ideal to grocery stores, nearby restaurants, and the interstate. The home is spacious, clean, very comfortable and accommodated our group of 7 perfectly. Beds were super comfortable and the linens and bedding were good quality. Bathrooms are dated and small but functional and workable. If you plan to cook a lot, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. I would suggest bringing spices, salt, pepper, and other condiments if traveling by car as nothing is left from previous renters or the owner. Paul was very responsive and left very good instructions on how the TV operated and other important details of the house. We had a wonderful week and I would certainly consider renting this lovely home again...it's a real gem.

Great place for our reunion

We were 4 women of a certain age looking for a place we could chill. Perfect. We lingered over coffee, enjoying the mist on the lake; we sat with wine in the evening in the yummy couches. We didn’t cook or use recreational facilities - but the house was generously supplied for any who are inclined. Hosts were welcoming. A lovely stay. Thank you!
