Charming Pet Friendly Oceanview Bungalow - Prime Location - Steps to beach

This cottage is ideally located for families and couples who want to come and go from the beach and downtown without driving, parking or walking very far. The beach access, directly across the street, is just 40 feet from the front steps. Restaurants and shopping area are just 3 blocks away. We are located at the corner of West Ashley Ave. and 4th Ave. - look for our aqua cottage with widows walk on the top.

One of Folly's original cottages, the Love Shack has been updated inside with creature comforts. But the large front deck is still our guests' favorite - as it puts you right in the Folly action with great views. You can see and hear the ocean from almost every room in the house - or listen to the ocean and feel the breezes. There's even a roof top deck over the porch if you want a panoramic view of the island.

This rental offers guests a combination of comfort and nostalgia that's getting harder to come by...we have aimed to preserve the same flavor we enjoyed as youngsters coming to the beach, before the era of condos and 'McMansions.' This property has 2 bedrooms and a large living area, both areas equipped with 42' flat screen TVs. Our cottage has approximately 650 square feet.

The living area and kitchen are open, divided by a bar/table/counter which is an old hatch door from a WWII Liberty Ship - refinished of course.

Folly Beach is a six mile long barrier island, and the closest beach to historic Charleston, South Carolina, 15 minutes on the Connector.

We welcome children of all ages and dogs. Our property is located on a corner lot. The backyard has a canopy of live oaks and is completely fenced. This home is not nearly as elevated as the newer ones; so there's only 10 steps from the back door to the yard. All these features make pet care and child care a lot easier. And don't worry about parking - we have 4 off street spaces at the back of the lot; and another in the front.

Great getaway

This was our second time staying at the Love Shack. We love that it is pet friendly with a fenced in yard and the beaches literally across the street. We love all the recent changes including the expanded deck space. Gigi is amazing and so very welcoming! loved that she was there to greet us upon our arrival. Everything was amazing, starting with the warm welcome received from the property manager Gigi, the charming cottage with great views of the ocean, beach access right across the street, and a short walk to downtown Folly. As a single woman, I felt totally safe and comfortable. The fenced in yard was perfect for taking my puppy out in the early morning or later at night. The house and linens are clean and had everything needed to feel like it is a home away from home. I couldn't ask for a better stay.

A beautiful 2 bedroom cottage with a great ocean view with everything you could ever need at a vacation rental. If you have children it is very convenient for them to play downstairs to have there fun. Hopefully we will be able to stay again very soon

We really enjoyed our stay. The communication was excellent. The place was nice and the fenced in backyard was great for our dog. We walked to the shops and places to eat. The beach is a very short walk. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Folly.

Perfect little house in spot close to town

This is perfect dog friendly property for small family or couple with dogs. There is great fenced in backyard (no picking up poop on the beach) and is only a few blocks from the main drag. It is also right across from beach.

Perfect location- just steps from the beach. The Love Shack was clean and had everything we needed. Great communication with GiGi in answering all our questions. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the dogs and relaxing. We grilled out the first night and played ping pong. Restaurants within walking distance. Beach was clean and relaxing. Perfect!

We loved our stay! The house is super cute and comfortable. The location is great! It’s right across the street from the beach access point and a short trip to downtown. We had a golf cart but didn’t need it. We loved having morning coffee on the porch, and the fenced yard was great for our pup. Gigi is awesome! She made sure everything was perfect and it was easy to communicate with her. We hope to go back next year.

This property is hands down the best we've stayed at in FB. This little gem of a beach cottage has everything; nicely landscaped and fenced in back yard, views of the ocean from the front porch (don't foget the Widows Peak) and a quick walk to the beach. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen nicely appropriated and a gas grill. We were in heaven and will return.

This is our absolute favorite place. We have great memories with our first love ( DOG) running in the ocean , outdoor showers and hanging in the sun either in the back or on the deck. This is my wife and i absolute favorite place. We are looking forward to making the return again.
