Check in person-purely transactional, checked us in, but not very welcoming. No conversation which was disappointing. A friendly smile and welcome would have been appreciated. Room was fine. However, our check out person on Sunday afternoon- Lady Ann?- was lovely. She was very personable and engaged in conversation which was lovely.

Fantastic room. Spotlessly clean. Roomy and comfortable. Plenty of parking. So close to shops and easy access to Hunter Valley wineries and wedding facilities. Our first choice accommodation in the area.

Dont stay here

It was terrible. I arrived late and they wouldn't let me in and said I'd have to find somewhere else. I had been working 30 mins away all day with no reception. When I arrived at Cessnock at 10pm I had a text and missed call form them. I buzzed the intercom at the front doors and was told that because I missed the 9pm reception that I couldnt stay and would have to fund somewhere else. I've stayed at this hotel half a dozen times when I'm in the hunter for work but never again.
