Was told after check in at their Wi-Fi was down. When you’re in a cell phone dead zone, having Wi-Fi is kind of important the issue wasn’t with the provider as neighboring locations had Internet the issue was with the configuration of their Wi-Fi hardware and they had no one able to troubleshoot it remotely or come on site until 24 hours later to resolve the issue. I moved onto another hotel with dependable Internet connectivity before it was resolved. My review isn’t all about Wi-Fi in general. The interior of the buildings are very dated, drop ceiling tiles, worn and out of place carpet and bathroom could use an update. Prices at restaurant and store very high. Compared to other locations in the park. Unfriendly staff at all locations.

We got check in right away but then they tell us the restaurant was closed and that all they had open was the buffet and it was terrible. So they said we could go to the sister property and that was fine but very expansive. So if you go check to make sure their restaurant are open. Property was nice.

We stayed here last night and the night before. We also stayed here a couple of years ago and although it was expensive due to the location, it was a really nice place with nice rooms. However this time, there is still a lot of work to do after the floods over a year ago. The room was horrible. There was still some flood damage in the room, the shower was falling off the wall, the mixer tap didn’t work, so the shower pressure was bad. The bathroom fan sounded like a freight train. There was long black hair stuck to the side of the bath and all the windows and mirrors were filthy. The balcony door was open but we couldn’t use the balcony as it was taped off. I also understand that you pay a premium for the location, but $10 for a beer and $36 for the buffet (that was not great food) is taking advantage of people. We won’t be returning here or recommending this place anymore. Very disappointed.

Good location to explore
We used the Ranch as a base to explore. It was well situated to do so. There were 5 in our party. We had one of the cottages which was tastefully fitted out and beds were comfy.

Loved being in furnace creek to get to all the Death Valley attractions, they have a great gift shop that we got up a couple of times. Be warned there are not a ton of food options and even getting a coffee at the general store is very expensive so bring food and a kettle if you can

Beautiful, unique desert setting, enjoyed our cottage on palm lined road. Most staff friendly, helpful, though not enough staff it seems. No cleaning of rooms during our 3 day stay, understand but, house keeping ran out of supplies when requested extra pillows and blankets. A small broom and dust pan kept in cottage would be helpful. Emptied our own trash daily but dumpster was full. At check in better communication about trash/recycle with more availability.
