Poor staff support. Bed linen unchanged during a 6 day stay. Bedcover stretched over dishevelled sheets is not a makeover. No glass in bathroom for daily medication; removed daily necessitating going downstairs to request from kitchen! Glass holder in shower but no glass; No shelf in shower for toiletries. Coffee served at breakfast first day thereafter told to fetch it ourselves from a dispenser at opposite end of hotel! Ran out of fresh varietal fruit one morning. Room needs a deep clean.

Handy location in the center of the historic area. Walkable to all the restaurants and attractions. Small hotel but had everything we needed…. Clean modern room, healthy tasty breakfast, friendly staff. Not fancy or big but nice enough if that’s what you’re looking for.

Staff was great however hotel infrastructure was weak. First night while watching tv the tv randomly turned off and wasn’t fixed till the next day. Main issue was we didn’t shower with hot water here for the entire stay because the manual button on the shower just didn’t work on the hot setting and despite complaining twice nothing was fixed. I even requested compensation for at least a night however my request was ignored - the third day after a 12 hour tour was especially painful not to be able to take a hot shower

The room is extremely small. The king bed takes up almost all the space, leaving very little room between the bed and the walls for luggage. There is no closet, no chair, and no drawers. The only storage is shelving above the bed, which is not very practical. The towels were old and stained. They looked washed, but the stains made them feel unclean and uninviting. The staff was friendly and helpful, which was the best part of the stay. This hotel works for a short stay on a tight budget. It is manageable for one person traveling light. For a couple, especially with more than one bag, the space feels cramped and uncomfortable.

Flew in from Las Vegas and stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The room had everything I needed—comfortable big bed, air conditioning, a bathroom, and a TV. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was clean and practical, which was perfect for my trip. The biggest highlight is the location. You’re literally within walking distance of just about everything, and there’s so much to see and do in the surrounding area that I was out most of the day. Because of that, I really only used the hotel to shower and sleep, and it fit that purpose perfectly. The only downside is that you can hear street noise, including honking and police sirens, especially at night. That said, it didn’t bother me too much—throw in some AirPods or earplugs and you’re good to go. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One helpful tip: if you need a blow dryer or an iron, they aren’t automatically in the room, but you can request them from the front desk. Overall, I felt safe staying here and had a positive experience. If you’re looking for a conveniently located place and plan to be out exploring most of the day, I’d definitely stay here again.

EMMA HOTEL BOUTIQUE CARTAGENA The photographs that you put up on yor website were nothing near reality ( we booked based on the photographs on your site) The room was so small..no night tables or any furniture in room to sit on NO CHAIRS. The was Bathroom so small..that sitting on the toilet the knees were scrapping the wall Th washroom had mold and the walls had gugg on them. The booking was for a Queen size bed and we ended up with a double. The room had no WINDOWS that we could open. DOES EXPEDIA EVER CHECK THE PROPERTIES THAT THEY ADVERTISE...FOR THIS ONE SOMEBODY DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB. We were stuck with the room as we had no place to go to at that moment with our luggage and to search Where new hotel and we had already paid Expedia thru my Credit Card. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE ..IN THE AFTERNOON..an terrible room , an upset wife and no solution at that moment During our stay NO IRONING BOARD . JUST IRON WAS GIVEN AND TOLD TO USE THE BED NO Hairdryer in the room upon asking the staff..they ran around looking for one( the property had one that was to be shared among other rooms..pathetic. THE WHOLE WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.... The staff there was excelledent especially Kevin and the 2 ladies in the kitchen. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. There's a trick to the hot water in the shower so just ask when checking in. Staff are great and try their best to communicate in english if your spanish is poor. Air conditioning works great. There is no elevator here so if you need assistance I would suggest a main floor request. This property is not wheelchair accessible. The walkability rating is an 8, you can get just about anywhere within 10 mins. I enjoyed my stay and would repeat.

This place was truly the best so much that I stayed there twice already! The staff is super nice, the breakfast is really good, and the rooms are very clean and air-conditioned well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a smaller place to stay near everything in town

This was an ideal place to stay! Close to every conveniences, and the pool was super chill, perfect for photo opps. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and assisted with a minor travel hiccup I encountered. I would definitely stay again at Casa Emma Hotel, especially while in Cartagena!!
