What a wonderful house for a three generational winter vacation! Our 5 and 7 year old grandkids loved all the snow to play in the fenced backyard. The interior of the house is spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy a week in the Sierras!!!!

Wonderful mountain house!
This home accommodates family members of all different ages. The large fenced backyard covered with an ample amount of snow was a favorite play area for the 4 and 6 year old. Everything in the exterior of this house makes for a repeat family vacation next Winter.

Christmas Vacation
Our stay for six days over Christmas was wonderful. Beautiful, well-kept, fully-furnished and nicely decorated house. Kept very warm in the cold weather. Gas fireplace works too well (not a complaint)! Had to turn on and off to keep from getting too hot.We got a permit to cut down our own Christmas tree near Alpine Meadows. We were very glad the house has high vaulted ceilings in the living room. The tree we chose ended up being 12.5 ft tall! It did not look that big against a mountain, but it was perfect!Had to call management company once (very responsive) to locate pots and pans. They were in drawer under the cooktop that was stuck shut and looked like a facade, not like a drawer. Opened with a hard pull, once we knew what it was.A few minor carpet stains here and there, but for a dog friendly house that's to be expected. No odors at all.We would definitely stay here again!Thank you!

Great place and location. Only con was there is no furniture on the balconies so couldn’t enjoy outside without dragging chairs outside. Also, not much outdoor seating in the backyard on deck. Kleenex would have been nice too, but otherwise great house.

Great family group
Very roomy cabin for the whole family. We brought groceries, including spices, to take advantage of using the kitchen for our meals. The backyard with the hot tub was perfect in the winter after a day on the slopes.
We were able to use both the garage and the driveway for our cars, very convenient after a snowfall.

Beautiful Home!
What an amazing piece of property! The house is beautiful inside with a really great layout of rooms and the mountain/bear decor was so inviting. Our three generational vacation was truly enjoyed by all with snow in the backyard to play in, a cross country resort close by (Tahoe XC) and a delicious restaurant Gar Wood nearby. Everyone enjoyed themselves (3 to 70 years old) and would love a return visit in the future.
We would like to thank whoever the owner of this beautiful home is for letting us enjoy it!

Beautiful property, needs maintenance
While this home is absolutely beautiful and a great property, the evidence of deferred maintenance is clear once you settle in. This was the second time we stayed at this property, the first being 10 years ago. At the time, in 2013, the home was stunning - well-appointed furniture, plenty of cooking utensils and cookware, a great backyard environment - an all-around beautiful property. This time, we felt like the house had ten years of short-term rental miles on it with VERY little maintenance and care directed at the upkeep of the property. For the expense of this home, we were VERY disappointed by the quality of the property and would caution any future renters of the disappointment you may have if you this you are getting what you pay for.

misleading # of rooms, broken screens
The place advertised 4 bedroom and 3 bathrooms but there were 3 enclosed bedrooms, and a 2nd floor loft/den with 2 double/twin beds instead of a 4th room. The acoustics in the house is pretty bad. Even when the doors are completely shut on the 2nd floor, it is very loud, you can hear all the conversations going downstairs in the living room very clearly. There were some broken screen doors that we could not use to keep windows or doors open since we didn't want bugs coming through. Some windows were missing screens so we couldn't open the window in the burning furnace of a room upstairs. The pots and pans and cooking utensils that were available were not good and needs replacements. Maybe it's due to covid there were no condiments except for vegetable cooking oil. I would advise to bring condiments like salt and pepper. The island sink faucet is faulty or incorrectly installed because you cannot use the handle to turn on the water but have to actually tilt the knob itself. It was hard to use the garage because there were no clickers. It is incredibly hot upstairs even though we were there in first weekend of june. I cannot imagine how anyone can stay upstairs during the hot summers. The pillows need to be replaced. There were yellow stained and very nasty.
Otherwise, the neighborhood is very quiet/nice with short trails, quick walk to beach. This place was overall good but really could enhance, upgrade, fix the minor issues I've mentioned to make the placed great.

Amazing house with amazing location!
We loved staying at Olive Branch. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and Garwoods, and a 8-10 minute walk to get coffee in the morning. The house is beautiful and pretty well maintained. We had our 7 month old and our dog, who both enjoyed the backyard. The stairs had plush carpet which was helpful from a safety standpoint. I'd definitely stay here again!

Needs some repairs but great location and potential
Great house, location etc. But we had searched mainly for a home with a fenced area in yard for our dogs and we arrived to 39 feet of the fence down. Very upsetting to hear it had been down since spring and no one alerted us of this. Major property management mistake!!! Also the door to the deck is broken and very hard to open and close. Being this is where the hot tub and grill are, it was a tremendous hassle to lift the slider each time we wanted to open it. I read about this in reviews from year ago, guess I assumed it would have been fixed. Lots of dog pee stains everywhere, broken dresser drawers and no smart TVs. These are things I would expect when spending this much. So much potential but needs much better upkeep! Fantastic location and nice kitchen.

Nice place
We enjoyed our stay. Great location. Walk to Garwoods, lake and mini golf. Very quiet and clean.
Here’s the deal – the house is great, it is beautiful, and it is located in a wonderful area. No complaints about the house or the homeowners and I have never left a negative review, so this is a first for me. There were a number of things that made our stay not worth the money we spent for 2 nights at this place. The problems, in my opinion, can be blamed on the property management company, Tahoe Getaways. Here’s what happened:
We planned a surprise retirement getaway at this place for my 65-year-old father because he had to cancel his retirement party due to COVID-19. My husband and I drove up from San Diego and arrived at the property around 3 p.m. Check-in time is not until 4 p.m., but we noticed a carpet cleaning van still in the driveway. It was concerning that people would be at the property so close in time to check-in, but not really that big of a deal at the moment…until we check-in. Opening the door, the house was damp, musty, and the carpets throughout the entire house were soaked. I am not talking damp, I am talking absolutely soaked. Despite the carpets being cleaned, everyone was forced to wear their dirty shoes throughout the house. Two small fans were running, but were not helping in the slightest. My father was set to arrive at 7 p.m. to this mess.
I called the property management company and was told the following: (1) they had a lot of complaints about the dirty carpet, so we should be happy they cleaned the carpets; (2) they had a tenant check out at 10 a.m. so they had no other time to clean the carpets; (3) they checked with their carpet cleaning guy and he said they would be dry in a few hours if we left the fans on. Not a chance. The carpets remained wet throughout the night and throughout most of the next day. I was also surprised the property management company, in defiance of the VRBO and county guidelines, they had booked back to back renters with cleaning crew being in the house up until the point we arrived. Not safe during a pandemic. And no attempt to ameliorate the situation.
Other things – we spent a morning looking for a coffee carafe for the coffee pot and could not find one. The water in the ½ bath seems to stay on. The door to one of the upstairs rooms doesn’t latch. The blender is broken. They didn’t remove the trash from the prior tenant.
At the end of the day, if this homeowner chose a different property management company, I would rent this house again.

Wonderful Getaway Home!!
We loved everything about the Olive Branch home. Great location, extremely well appointed, very clean. The layout is great and offers space for everyone. My husband and I are in tech and had to work part of the time during our stay ... Olive Branch provides a great environment and space for keeping our kids occupied while we worked. Also centrally located to great restaurants, Tahoe City, Meeks Bay, etc. We also tried our hand at miniature golf while there. Would absolutely book this home again!

Summer Starts at Olive Branch
We really enjoyed kicking off summer at Olive Branch. It is a large and comfortable home with plenty of room for all. The pluses included: well equipped kitchen with nice appliances (we love to cook!), a fenced in back yard that the kids loved to go on “adventures” in, and great lay out for every one to have some room. This home was also spectacularly clean on arrival. Although not a deal breaker keep in mind the following: you enter the mud room/entry landing and need to climb a flight of stairs to get to the main level (kitchen, master bedroom, etc.) this was difficult for one in our party with physical limitations. Also there is no AC at this house, it was a warm weekend and even with the windows open the upstairs bedrooms were pretty warm and had no fans. On the whole would definitely would come back!

Loved this property!
We decided to rent this property over Memorial Day weekend because the space looked beautiful online. The home is just lovely and located across the street, one block up from the lake. So conveniently to shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities. The space was perfect for 3 adults and 2 children. Loved the decor and the wood throughout. Had all the amenities that anyone could need. The property management company was wonderful. Jenn and Taylor were both so gracious when we had a personal travel delay. I can’t say enough about how great our family vacation was and we look forwarding to staying at Olive Branch again.

Very spacious but not comfortable
We were disappointed in the lower level master bedroom. The bed had a plastic mattress cover which made the fitted sheet slip around all night. The bathroom is very beautiful however the floor was freezing cold with only two small throw rugs. The shower drain plugged up immediately so you are standing in water. We were thinking we could sit on the patio but the table set is very old and not comfortable. The kitchen is very nice and set up well for cooking. The carpeting is obviously well warn and not a issue if you are a large group with kids. Mixed reviews. We left a day early.
