The hotel advert was extremely misleading, rooms were very unwelcoming, dirty white washed walls, black marks everywhere. Breakfast was cold the chefs whites looked like he'd washed the floor with them! Cups weren't changed or cleaned. We should of had a 4 night stay but only stayed for 2 refund refused with no explanation. Definitely wouldnt recommend. It was a hovel. Not surprising they moved the asylum seekers out they deserved better than this
Rooms are advertised with warm inviting colours but this is what you get

We stayed for 2 nights, The city centre was a good 15 minute walk away or a few minutes by bus. This gave access to lots and lots of bars, restaurants and takeaway places. The hotel is very tired looking in places (the bath in our room in particular) but it worked. The staff on reception were very helpful . The breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

The hotel nedds a whole refurbishment soon as possible the bar area smelt of damp Smelt weed in the corridor outside the bedroom Didnt really see any staff The only person who spoke to us was the receptionist when we checked in Only 2 good thing about this hotel was Bed was comfortable Breakfast was nice Would i stay again NO

NO NO NO! Whatever you’re thinking just do not book this hotel, scroll on and choose another one. It’s being used as council housing, the rooms are in really bad condition mould in the bathrooms everything falling apart (see photos) breakfast doesn’t start until 8 pm on the weekend(which probably saved me from food poisoning). It was a terrible experience and thankfully I arrived just after midnight and left just after 7 am-the only saving grace was that the bedding was very clean. I have an acute allergy to black mould so had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times and not use that facility

The room rate is cheap for a reason. The hotel is shabby and run down and operating with only one front of house staff - so reception and bar are separate but only one person to run them. The receptionist was efficient and pleasant. The room was shabby but clean. Bed and towels were good but bathroom was in very poor state. We were woken at 5.30 by water dripping into the bathroom from above. Breakfast was decidedly second rate. When we asked for a room move there was reluctance to do so and even questioned our problem by wanting inspect it first. We booked and paid for 2 nights but left on the first morning. If you want a cheap one night stay it will do as place rest you head. Anything more look elsewhere.

Although some of the star-ratings I've given are low, I would come here again. For the price, the place does have some things going for it. The bed and pillows were top class and I had a good night's sleep. I would suggest that the hotel adds another chalkboard notice to the one it already has. This one could read something like: "Serving in the bar. Will be with you very shortly". Reception and check in are excellent. The hotel might also like to consider having a checkout box where early leavers can drop their keys. The staff members I met were first rate.
