The former barns have been lovingly converted to provide 1 and 2 bedroom cottages, named after key points from the World Heritage site on the Roman Wall the cottages are furnished and equipped to provide a welcoming ambience on your return after a days exploring. Those with an interest in history will delight at the easy access, via a private path, to Hadrian's Wall, tread in the footsteps of the soldiers until you reach one of the many forts where you can explore the archaeological digs and visit the museums to learn about a bygone era. Close by you will also find Lanercost Priory, the old ruins are waiting to be discovered, or simply relax and enjoy brunch in the café. The Lake District Airport is a few minutes drive away, as is the Solway Aviation Museum which is a great day out for young and old who have an interest in flying. Surrounded by farm land means wildlife can regularly be spotted including deer, foxes and pheasants as well as the more domesticated farm animals of sheep and cows.

The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area is flooded with light from the gallery windows with views towards the distant Lake District fells. Lounge with leather sofas and TV. Kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. There are 2 bedrooms each with a TV, a double and a single bedroom. Family bathroom with a shower over bath and hand basin.
All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available on request. Private parking for 1 car with additional cars by arrangement. Private patio area with dining furniture and BBQ. There is a shared drying room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and space for drying walking gear and storing bikes.
