Stayed at The Royal for just 1 night but could have happily stayed for a wk. My bestie + I recieved a lovely welcome frm Reception Staff who promptly checked us in. Our room was bright, spacious + spotlessly clean throughout as can be said for every area of the hotel. Toiletrees + towells provided as well as a kettle, tea + coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious + plentiful serving fresh fruit/juices, cerial, yohurt, a choice of breads + jams along with an ample selection of hot food choices ude expect..my only bugbear was the mushrooms being tinned not fried but no bigee. I would defo stay again 👍 Thankyou to all The Royal Hotel Staff who work to high standards.

Lovely hotel, can't believe I haven't stayed her before when in Cadiff. Room was well kitted out (I "worked from home" while staying) and spacious. Bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds I have slept in. Staff were lovely and the breakfast world class. Location right in the middle of town is very convenient, esp when walking back after a few beers next door, but also very quiet with almost no street noise to be heard in the room. I have found my go-to hotel for my Cardiff stays now!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lift wasn’t working up to the reception but the one to the rooms was. Clean room, we had two windows to see out into the city centre. Location was brilliant. Rugby was on so great atmosphere. A fun weekend!

Nice people decent breakfast good location if you don’t have a car. Beds are squishy and the elevator to the check was out the entire time we were there which was about 3-4 steep staircases up. Front desk did offer help with our bags. But up and down on those stairs multiple times a day did take a bit out of us.

What a lovely hotel! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile and welcome. We had room 701 which was a fabulous room, spacious and clean. Loads of hot water, ideal for a bath. Even though it is in the centre of town we were not bothered by noise at all. The breakfast was great and catered well for GF. We have stayed at a few hotels in the past when visiting Cardiff but this will definitely be our choice in the future.
