Noisy fridge.

I am a light sleeper and was kept awake by refrigerator motor stopping and starting. The fridge was stupidly situated right next to the bed. I do not think that the fridge was faulty.

It is an awesome property, but keep in mind that the Protea Chain in South Africa is not well integrated with Marriott. You need to get a paper receipt and apply for points later.

Hotel is nice but there aren’t enough seating areas around the pool, in particular sun beds. Rooms facing the road are a little noisy and dark. Breakfast area is dated and tired - it’s a nice hotel, polite staff but it’s looking a little dated

Well positioned “boutique” style hotel

Lovely, almost boutique hotel very well positioned on the end of Franschhoeks Main Street. Hotel is two story with rooms largely overlooking a central pool/garden court yard Hotel has its own gated secure free parking. Adjoining the hotel is the Hussar Restaurant which is well worth trying although, like many of the more popular restaurants in Franschhoek is busy and booking is recommended. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

It was my first time to South Africa, the receptionist and manager of the hotel helped me feel safe and welcomed. We arrived late due to delay and the receptionist was friendly, telling us where we can go to stretch our legs. When I asked if I can move the swing chair to outside my room, the manager offer to get the guard to help me. The place is lovely and I will definitely go back again.

Perfect Hotel for a Wine Weekend

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Franschhoek. I wish I had time to stay longer and relax at the pool. It is an easy walk to everything in the main area Franschhoek and a quick uber ride to the all of the wineries. I could not recommend this hotel more.

Great stay, nice room with great bathroom. Breakfast not a huge choice but what they had was v good and lovely coffee. Hassar Grill on site is also really good with great service. Will be back!
