reading about room online, it mentioned the view from the room being only partial. If partial you mean a brick wall on an enclosed terrace with a view of the patio next door. Just mention there is no view.

Spacious, well appointed, quiet, and very clean rooms, parking was easy. Slow EV (6.5KW L2) charging if needed. The pool is heated and nice, and the restaurant serves great food, but only had 4 kid options and is pricey. The side facing ocean views are not really worth it. The ac is loud, you get used to it, but at this price it should be quite. The wifi is horrible, basic web surfing works, but streaming doesnt. If you need a crib you have to rent them from a third party. All in all a good experience.

Yes we will stay here again. Yes it is a mile walk from the best area of Cape May for bagels, hot dogs, ice cream... shopping 1.5 miles away (we would prefer closer). Yes next door occupants were loud one night through 4AM or later (hotel staff did ask them twice to be quiet on our behalf). Yes our room was advertised as ocean view but room 250 really views a parking lot and you have to stand up to be able to see a little bit of ocean. But the rooms are the best I have stayed in at Cape May (been to 4 nicer hotels here), the dinner, especially the scallops was amazing (you get what you pay for), the shower was great (make sure you get a renovated room). the air conditioner is noisy when it turns on/off, but it works great cooling the room. Overall the staff was excellent. 4 stars out of 5.

Check in was easy. The gentleman at reception was very nice and took the time to provide all the information needed about the hotel. Our room overlooked the lawn but we could see the ocean. Room was spacious and clean. Somewhat noisy though. We heard children crying, toilets flushing and walking in the room above us. Bar area was comfortable and drinks were good, though a bit pricey. All staff members were polite and helpful. Didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting. Very nice few days enjoying the area.

La Mer unrenovated room

Horrible room with dirty carpet and antiquated kitchenette. Bathroom very old and has bad odor. It’s a crime to pay these prices for what is essentially a low budget motel. Room was listed as I renovated but that was being kind.

Either Expedia nor La Mer staff the night we checked in were helpful . The room was expensive so we were expecting accommodations that were comparable to what we were paying for. The room's rugs had numerous stains, the bathroom had hair and stains in the tub, there was little room to move around, the towels had stains, there was a smell in the room. The review for the room did say not renovated but we needed two queen beds (the picture did not match the room we were given) so I booked it. When I tried to move to another room they did not have any available so I tried to cancel. After an hour on the phone with Expedia I got no where. The staff at the front desk were rude. One actually accused me of making up a story saying I told Expedia "My daughter was in a terrible car accident ,died, and I needed to get to her".Can you please have a representative from Expedia call me-(845)417-5330.

We had a lovely stay at Le Mer! A quiet and clean room that had all we needed. This hotel had dining, activities, live music and beach access. It has everything in one place. We loved the beach access with badges, chairs and umbrellas. We knew we’d be in the older part of the hotel and it was fine. Parking was generous and easy. The one small issue was walking to other restaurants or shopping was too far. We rented bikes on site which was nice. We took Ubers to and from the busy shopping area. Overall, if you want a getaway from everything, this hotel offers it all.

Incredible stay at La Mer

We stayed in the part of the resort that hasn't been updated, but it was nice and cozy. The staff was fantastic, super friendly and always ready to help. The beach service was great too, providing umbrellas and lounge chairs. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
