My husband & I enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Dormer House. The location was within easy walking distance of the center of Cape May, and the on-site parking was much appreciated. Nancy and her staff were delightful, especially during the breakfast hour. The food was delicious and served with a smile. I would highly recommend staying at Dormer House when in Cape May.

A perfect stay in the heart of Cape May

This is a charming bed-and-breakfast right in the heart of historic Cape May. Very easy to walk to the shops and restaurants on Washington Street. Also an easy walk to the beach. Everything is so nice.

A Terrific Place to Stay

What a great stay we had at the Dormer House! The historical house is well cared for & so charming. The parking is easily accessible. The room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was on the enclosed porch & over the course of 3 mornings we enjoyed a beautiful & filling meal (Dietary provisions were made for several guests) However, the true standout here is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and ready to suggest a restaurant or supply more towels. We'll will definitely be back.

Great location, good breakfast but the room was very run down. Large, Dark stain on the carpet next to the bed. Dusty furnishing and very worn out. Place was tidy but not clean. And it was evident in the reception parlor also. I would not stay there a second time.

Awesome breakfasts in a great setting: front veranda or an enclosed side porch. Yummy tea and cookies in the afternoon. The Diana room was wonderful and typically quirky. Showers were hot. Room was dark and quiet. Nice to have a ceiling fan. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with stair climbing challenges as the stair is steep and narrow. Parking on site and off-season we had no parking issues anywhere.

The structure is a Victorian era, so there are creaky stairs and oddly shaped rooms and that of course is part of the charm of staying in Cape May's Victorian B&B, If you want modern AC, lighting and so forth go to the holiday inn. The AC worked fine, the lighting was quaint, the wifi was good. The hot water was hot and the bathroom was nice, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Service and Breakfast were awesome and filling. (I've been to some that had a spray of asparagus with maple syrup) We parked the car on the private lot and didn't move it until we left. Good deal in a beach town... Will probably be back one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dormer House! The house and room were clean and had beautiful antique furniture! The breakfast was varied and delicious and the afternoon snack to eat at your leisure was so nice too! It has parking right beside the house and the location was prime! We walked everywhere! It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the Washington street mall.

The property is in a great location that is walkable to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The off street parking is a big plus!
