In an excellent location across the street from where the action is and a short (and beautiful) walk from the train station, this seven-room hotel is dated and quirky, but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and new. Beware, the stairs are not for folks with the slightest mobility issues. I’d recommend it to people willing to trade ultimate modern comfort for the sake of inexpensive accommodations.

Lovely, cheap and charming little hotel in a tremendous location, close to all the sights and East railway station. Minimal contact with staff, was let in and explained where the room and key was, no reception desk as such, but didn't need anything more. Didn't see anyone on the way out. The room was compact but very adequate, clean and comfortable. Usable en suite in the corner, little shabby in places but no complaints. Nice to have a 2:00pm check in available and the perfect place for my quick (cheap) overnighter before a meeting the next day.

Great service from the staff! Stayed in the single room. Comfy bed - I just lay on top due to the heatwave. There was a fan in the room but it was loud and not very effective, this should be upgraded. Even with the windows wide open, the wind didn't really come in. It would've been a more comfortable stay if it wasn't during a heatwave. Good shower and bathroom didn't fog up. Mirror on the back of the bathroom door rather than above the sink is a bit odd but get used to it quickly. Quiet location, even on a Friday night. Didn't hear the nightclub that was a couple of streets away. Close to Canterbury East train station. I'd stay here again, hopefully in cooler weather!

Location was fantastic, the building carried a strong smell of food on the Friday only not sure if due to business downstairs. Interesting building, although staircase up top can be a bit tricky and the bath didn’t work or we couldn’t work it but the separate shower did. For future reference although our key was not left in the room the guy came quickly and I would suggest to leave the WiFi code on arrival as we didn’t get to use it till the following evening, luckily friends had better service to research day before. We will stay again due to having single beds in the property and the location was great.
