We stayed at Sea Sprite at Haystack Rock in early October for my birthday, and it was nothing short of magical. The weather gave us perfect fall temperatures, and from the moment we checked in (online and super simple!), everything felt welcoming and easy. Clear directions and signage made finding the unit a breeze, and assigned parking meant we just pulled in and relaxed. Walking into the unit, we were greeted with how clean the unit was — fresh-smelling, spotless, and clearly well cared for. The layout was so cozy and well thought out, with everything we needed to feel at home—and then that view. Our picture window framed the coast and Haystack Rock so perfectly, it looked like a living postcard. Thoughtful touches like boot brushes outside the door (much needed after beach walks!) and a curated info packet inside with must-visit places—like Mo’s, where I fell in love with their clam chowder—made our stay even more enjoyable. The wildlife is fun to spot (though they do what wildlife do, and leave a few “reminders”), but the Sea Sprite team kept things tidy. The location is ideal—quiet and peaceful, but just a short drive to town shops and restaurants. I would stay here over and over and over again. If you're even thinking of booking—do it. It’s cozy, scenic, and unforgettable. Just don’t blame me when you never want to leave.

We loved the coziness of our room and the beautiful view from our bedroom and outside on the chairs watching the surf, beach, and Haystack Rock. A Perfect Beachfront Getaway in Cannon Beach We stayed at the cutest cottage right on the beach in Cannon Beach, and it was truly unforgettable. Cathy, the host, was so friendly and accommodating — she made everything easy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The weather was absolutely perfect during our stay, with record-high temperatures and sunshine every day. One of the most magical parts was watching the sunset over the ocean — absolutely breathtaking. And to top it all off, there were a dozen bunnies playing in the yard, which added such a charming, whimsical touch. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and the location couldn’t have been better. We felt so lucky to be there. Highly recommend this special spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful beach escape!

Just perfect!

I love the Sea Sprite at Haystack Rock. The rooms might not be 5 star quality but they are comfortable, the view especially from top floor rooms 2 or 3 are outstanding! Having a kitchen is great because as much as I love Cannon Beach the food offerings are lacking. The staff take great care of me and I’m lacking for nothing when there. I won’t stay anywhere else in Cannon Beach!! If they upgraded the amenities to 5 star quality they would be unstoppable. As they are currently it’s perfectly comfortable, clean, and well presented! A+ in my book!

Breath of fresh air!

We booked the studio, ocean facing. So much charm! It was perfect for our family of 3. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surf and sand. Easy access to beach and Haystack Rock easy walk (tide pooling was awesome). Tons of food options closer to town. However studio also had a small kitchenette for longer stays. We’ll be back!!!

This property is phenomenal! The staff is amazing. So sweet and kind and thoughtful. When we arrived we had two personalities birthday cards and candy welcoming us and celebrating our birthdays. Direct access to the beach and the view of Haystack is breathtaking. I will never not daydream about our stay here.
