Relaxing and peaceful

We had a meal in the Windsor restaurant that was a professional experience and I had a full body treatment in the castle spa. That was so relaxing. We rested in our room mostly but whenever we encountered staff they were polite and helpful.

Exceptional!

I was genuinely surprised when I arrived as the place is beautiful and far exceeded expectations. Other than the plug not working in the bath, everything was fantastic. The staff were great and I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. Will definitely be using the Cave Castle Hotel when I'm in the area in future!

Lovely old-fashioned unique hotel. Lots of choice for food, and the spa is fab - £12 access per room is great, and the facilities were clean and updated. The gym/health club was a huge plus and made the stay even better. I would say the Bistro could do with some redecorating - the food was good and very reasonable, but the ambience/decor was a little plain for a dinner location! Aside from that, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, and the staff were all really friendly. Such a nice location for a weekend country getaway

Good overall, receptionist didn't mention booking breakfast or a table for dinner in the restaurant and could only get a later time when did get booked. The menu for the restaurant hsdn't been updated for the day but the waiter and chef were very accommodating and resolved it. Leisure was amazing and very relaxing, the disappointment was the rudeness of the cafe staff member who wouldn't make food as she was own her own, no apology, just matter of fact "what do you expect me to do, I'm on my own" went elsewhere so they lost money!

The hotel looks beautiful from the outside and is set in a beautiful spot but the inside and rooms are very dated and in need of some work. Sadly our room also did not have a window, it was covered in paper to conceal the dilapidated state of the outside. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
