Disappointing
The major issue was we booked a Deluxe Room, Queen Bed primarily because it was an air-conditioned room – this was a deciding factor in booking the hotel as opposed to alternatives in the area.
When checking in we were informed we had been upgraded to a King Bed room and dropped off our bag before heading out for the evening.
On returning to our room however we discovered that it had a fan, but no air-conditioning – by this point it was quite late in the evening already so we made do, but we were very disappointed that having spent over £200 for an air-conditioned room we didn’t have this.
Additionally, we noted the following other issues in the room:
- Backlight on TV broken on lower half of the display giving a very dark image
- Bathroom door lock broken
- Cramped bathroom layout – the shower particularly was hard to get in and out of. I’ve seen better bathrooms in rooms costing less than £50 a night.
We raised these issues on checking out and were given the managers email address. Thus far over a week later we have received no reply.
