The facilities and room were quite nice and the person at reception - Brooke - was exceptional: warm, welcoming and helpful.
However we had a few issues upon arrival that could have been avoided with a bit of extra attention:
- the cleaning crew left the fridge door ajar and ice from the freezer melted into the fridge and onto the kitchen floor
- the shower valve wasn't operational and had to be fixed
- the toilet plunger was disconnected and wouldn't flush
We took care of those issues ourselves, but they should be part of routine checks
the larger issue was that the construction noise from across the street was horribly loud, began at 7am and usually went to at least 5. it was so disruptive, that we had to close the porch door and windows in order to watch tv or talk. but, since it's unseasonably warm, the room would heat up quickly. this went on every day we were there - including Saturday. The construction noise, though not your fault, should have been noted in your ad. if I had known I would have made another decision on where to stay. My girlfriend and I were hoping to escape the city for the quiet of the mountains. I've never experienced anything this loud in the city. It was very unpleasant and terribly disappointing.
