For your enjoyment and a piece of nostalgia, an antique football table, along with a record player with a collection of singles, are available. Castle Carrock is a pretty little Cumbrian village where you can sample the delights at the award winning village pub only 70 yards away, after a day exploring the area.

Castle Carrock is known for ’Cumbria’s Most Friendly Music Festival’, Music on the Marr which takes place each year at the end of July. It attracts a diverse crop of music, entertainers, artists and poets from around the world and celebrates great music and excellent entertainment for all. Only 4 miles away is Brampton a delightful little town where you will find a variety of shops, cafés and pubs. The attractions are endless in the area, however a must is a visit to Birdoswald Roman Fort on the path of the world famous Hadrian’s Wall, or Talkin Tarn where you can go boating, coarse fishing or walking. The location is ideal and central for all, with visits to the Lake District National Park, the Solway Coast, Scottish Borders and the Eden Valley within a ½ hour drive. This totally unspoilt area of Cumbria is the ideal location to enjoy everything this stunning area has to offer. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Weekend break

2nd time at this property - really well positioned and immaculately maintained - pub within 100 metres with great food and atmosphere. Hope to return in the near future.highly recommended.

Stunning cottage, so comfortable and relaxing.

Stunning cottage, so comfortable and relaxing. Everything was pristine and lots of room. Sitting in the living room with the log burner on was so lovely. The cottage was warm and inviting with beautiful decor. Our 2 adult kids loved the cinema room. The kitchen was superb and had everything you’d need. The owner and caretaker were so nice to deal with, so helpful. The outside was perfect and beautifully maintained. We had one or two takeaways delivered which was great. I can’t believe how incredible the en-suite bathroom was, all the bathrooms were stunning. The beds were very comfortable. Amazing cottage. x
