Listing mis-represented

We were shocked when we arrived at the listing. The outside of the house was littered with old natural debris (leaves etc) and trash. The porches were not clean including porch furniture and top of hot tub. There was a thick coat of pollen and dirt and the cushions and other furniture was dirty and in some cases broken. It looked like no one had been at the house in quite a while. The code they provided to get into the house didn't work and by the time they responded to our concerns we had already found an unlocked door we could enter. Inside the cleaning was just average as we saw dirt on the floor in the main dining area and any less obvious areas (like sides of cabinets etc were not touched). That would have been fine had we not been paying the huge fees. They advertised a media room but despite searching for info on how to turn on the main TV we could never figure it out (even with a physics major in our midst!). We called and asked for help but they didn't get back to us until 3 pm the next day!The outside porch, which had a gorgeous view, had a wood railing that was broken in multiple places. No one could lean on or near it because it would clearly break if pushed. We were happy we did not have young children with us because we would not have allowed them in that area. It was a long drop to the ground if one fell. The master bedroom area had a septic smell when we first arrived which cleared over time with open windows. Do not stay!

Beautiful and relaxing - great spot for White Crow wedding guests

My family enjoyed our time at Million Dollar View. It was the perfect spot for a wedding at White Crow. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Although we did not spend much time at the home, it was a wonderful retreat and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful cabin experience with amazing views!

This cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more. Although it was technically within a neighborhood with a few other cabins, it was positioned in a way that it felt remote and private. Also, unlike many cabins in the Boone area, it was just minutes from "civilization," including Valle Crucis and the original Mast General Store. I honestly can't think of a single thing I would improve and know any group (large or small) would have a great time here.

Peaceful mountain house

Very pretty view off the back of the house (visible from the sofa next to the sliding glass doors and the upstairs bedroom) and from the hot tub. Helped to have the pool table and games available. Log cabin so very dark inside, even with lamps, so was tough to read. Takes about 25 minutes to get to either Sugar or Beach resorts. No snow while we were there but definitely understand the requirement of 4WD/AWD (road to get to the house is gravel and very steep).

Loved the view

We arrived to the Million Dollar View the day after the massive winter storm ahead of Christmas 2022. With our AWD we were able to safely make it to the cabin despite the conditions. We never lost power or water which was rare and in the area at the time, and we were quite thankful. With the awful conditions the whole rental community struggled. When we arrived at 6 pm, the cleaner was still there. After some awkward time trying not to make a mess and get in her way she finished. I'm sure that had something to do with the less than stellar cleaning of the cabin. Discovered left items under the couch and lots of dust balls and dirt.( discovered after my dog lost his ball under the couch) The house was as advertised with the view being nothing less than a million dollar. With different outside sections of the porch there were plenty of seating options. Sadly with the sub zero temperatures, we were not able to enjoy it. The hot tub was great with working jets. The theater room had a nice area for separation if needed and multiple different video game systems. Enjoyed the game room with pool and air hockey. Loved the extra attention for the pets with bowls, beds and balls. Be careful as the gates around the porch are missing some bars so our dog quickly escaped before we realized that.

View is outstanding!

The view does not disappoint. Location is great and the amenities are accurate as described. The house could use a good cleaning and unfortunately, a previous renter (or the cleaning team) left wet towels in the washer so we experiened an unpleasant odor upon arrival. Overall, still a nice property with a wonderful view.

Wonderful getaway!

Hubby and I traveled with our grown sons and their families and there was plenty of space for everyone. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor spaces and oh my what a wonderful view! I would definitely stay at this property again in the future!

Great Views

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was in great shape, the kitchen had enough of the right stuff, and the bed was comfortable. The view off the back porch was great. We enjoyed morning coffee and an evening night cap, while watching the sky change and the shadows move across the hills and valley. The hummingbirds, fireflies, and occasional rainbow made it all the better. I'd stay again.

What a View

Million Dollar View lives up to it’s name! Spent most of our time on the amazing deck just soaking in the view. The home was spacious and we enjoyed how one side of the house felt separated from the other as it gave us and the other couple with us privacy. Beds were comfortable!! Hot tub was great, functioned well with no issues. We have stayed at our share of homes away from home and taken our dogs. They really were able to relax here and enjoyed the view as well. The fenced in area for the furkids was great. We loved all of the little dog friendly items from bowls, to beds, to the cot on the deck. Great stay, great home, million dollar views. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Quiet and out of the way

Property is private. There are a few neighbors but not right on top of you. View is beautiful as advertised. The house is laid out a bit odd, but it’s perfect if you have kids or teens that want to be off by themselves in a different part of the home.

Absolutely fabulous house!

The house exceeded my expectations. It was nicer than the pictures online. The view, all the different areas to hang out, THE VIEW, the hot tub, the covered porch, the sunrise view in the morning. We had a great time hanging out with family. Perfect for skiing at Beech Mountain. Can’t say anything but good things about this house. Would recommend. Loved it!

Our favorite cabin so far

This place was everything we wanted. Cozy and inviting. Kept the kids happy and occupied. Other houses are nearby but it’s very private still. Loved everything. Hope to stay here again .

Cabin lives up the its name!

Excellent rental just in time for peak season! The view was incredible and the house was clean and very well stocked with kitchen items as well as plenty of towels (even for the hot tub)! Loved that our furry friends could join us and that the house had ample dog bowls and raised beds for them to use as well! We had an absolute blast and would definitely recommend this house to rent!

Amazing cabin in a beautiful location!

This cabin far exceeded our expectations! There was a small group of six of us and two dogs that stayed here very comfortably. We arrived on Thursday and left on Monday. We brought lots of food and didn’t leave the cabin once until Sunday for brunch. The views from this cabin are breathtaking! This cabin is so pet friendly, they have a variety of dog bowls and even some toys in case you forgot something for your fur baby. They even left a business card for the local vet in the unlikely event you need something. The master bedroom is very comfortable and the deck that leads out to the backyard is good for taking pictures and looking at the view any time of the day or night. The only issue we encountered (which was nobody’s fault) was the pipes in the master bathroom froze one morning. Once it warmed up a little, everything was fine. This cabin was so cozy, it was exactly the getaway we all needed. It was definitely a great recharge. This cabin literally had everything you would ever need - plates, glasses, silverware, dishwasher, washer and dryer, a vacuum (to help keep it clean during your stay), the dog bowls and toys and even books and magazines to read. I would definitely stay at this cabin again without a second thought. Thank you for having us!

We had a great time.

The place is very cozy. The kitchen could use some organizing. But that is just me. You had plenty of our essentials. The upstairs bedroom is very open and clean. The two bathrooms downstairs were very clean and equip with extras. Thank you for making our trip effortless. Our check in time was at 4:00. We arrived at 3:30 and was able to get in. Thank you. The views are amazing. We had a fire every night. The place has a lot of charm. We also enjoyed the game room.
