The building is fairly new so everything is up to date. Every area especially our room was very clean. The bed was over the top comfortable. I have a bad back and normally hotel beds kill me. The shower is large enough if your spouse wanted to join there wouldn't be any issues. Food was not a continental breakfast. Pastries and waffles didn't cut it. Got breakfast out. But like I said everything else was 5 stars

honestly the place itself was fine. check in was great. we checked in super late. however it wasn't until the next morning we noticed the stain on the bed. very gross. staff said they wouldn't do anything about it as booked through third party. i just thought that was poor customer service. i get they have policies etc but something could have been done i am sure. Third party tried to help but to no avail.

Got to our 1st room & the smoke detector was beeping. Clerk said he would remove it for us & we said no, we want a new battery but he didnt have one. So we insisted on a room with a working detector. Switched us to a room that the the detector was taken off the wall & wires sticking out. Clerk was annoyed w/us but gave us a 3rd room. Once we were all settled in, the damn thing started beeping. took the damn thing off the wall & laid it in the stairwell so we could try to sleep, hoping to not die in a fire.

The complimentary breakfast had a good variety and the lobby was nice. Unfortunately, the curtains and the linens were not in good shape and were stained badly. The room smelled fairly moldy and the toilet was not clean as well. These concerns were voiced to the staff at the front desk to no avail. Overall, it was so nice to be by the lake but I would stay elsewhere and would not recommend.

The receptionist threatened to charge me for items I didn’t steal (in front of two other guests)—she wanted to charge me high rates for dirty towels that had been removed by housekeeping staff. I asked for extra washcloths, but I simply wasn’t allowed to have them. I didn’t enjoy my stay because I was focused on how much they were planning to shake me down. What a terrible vacation for the holiday.
