Things to see and do in Dublin Our holiday cottages are also only 50km from Dublin city centre. If you wish to visit the city but want to avoid the inconvenience of bring the car you can hop on the bus which stops at the gates outside our holiday cottages. This bus will take you right into the heart of Dublin city centre. Or alternatively there is a regular train service which runs from Drogheda, a quick and easy 5-minute drive from your holiday cottage in Bettystown.
Explore Dublin on foot or hire a Dublin Bike and head west along the River Liffey to Phoenix Park. There you can visit Dublin Zoo, Áras and Uachtaráin, Wellington Monument, Ashtown Castle and Demesne, The Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden plus much more. Head back into the city centre along the river Liffey and enter Temple Bar via the famous Ha’penny Bridge. Explore the cobbled streets and lanes of Temple Bar or take in the sights from the tower at Guinness Storehouse.
