Holidays To Bend

What sits on the banks of the Deschutes River and has a bunch of breweries? We hope you guessed Bend, Oregon, because that’s the answer and the destination for your next getaway.

Roam through ancient lava tubes and then top it off with a brewery tour (or two, or three…). Look through our amazing Bend packages and see what kind of surprises Central Oregon holds.

Things to Do in Bend

What should you do first when you arrive for your holiday in Bend? Well, for starters you can get a vehicle from one of Wotif’s Bend car rental options and drive over to Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Check out the Lava River Cave, a lava tube that twists and turns underground for 1588 metres. One of the coolest features you’ll come across during the tour is the Sand Garden, a room in the cave where the entire floor is covered in sand. The cave must’ve known a good sand guy.

Once your spelunking adventure is over with, head back to town and pay a visit to the High Desert Museum. Some of the exhibits inside the main building include a stagecoach from the 1800s, an early U.S. Forest Service fire truck and several Native American history displays. If you’ve never seen a fully intact Native American village with tepees and drum circles, this is your chance.

Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

You know what you should do with all the money you saved with our cheap Bend packages? Spend some of it at the Bend Factory Stores, where over 20 brand-name outlet stores are ready to dress you in their best. You can also shop till you drop at the Cascade Village Shopping Centre.

Shopping makes you hungry, doesn’t it? Just stick around the Cascade Village Shopping Centre and take your pick from several restaurants. There’s Italian, Japanese, Mexican and plenty of other options. Many of the hotels you get with our packages to Bend are in or near downtown, near many fine restaurants.

Sure, there’s a nightlife here with bars scattered about, but you already know about the breweries. They’re everywhere, and you’re probably trying to devise a way to visit them all. Here’s your solution: Go for a ride on the Bend Ale Trail and see how many stamps you can collect in your beer passport. The more stamps you get, the better the prize you’ll receive.

What’s Next?

Aren’t you tired of skipping your annual leave? Well, we’re here to tell you those days are behind you, because you’re going to Oregon! Book yourself a great Bend package deal from our fantastic selection and find your new favourite beer.

"Bend, Or was a stopover from the Idaho mountains to the Oregon coast. Pleasant and fairly quiet for being on busy 3td st. Also not far from a couple of the 9-10 dog parks. Very outreaching city that has grown immensely to over a hundred thousand. Just a nice place to visit."
