Old charm, comfortable room, the staff are ok, but we loved Bob from concierge, he is so nice, friendly and helpful. Probably the best out of all the staff we met. Housekeeping guy on floor 6, Paul was also very nice. Mattress was nice but the pillows are super soft and not very comfortable. Our room remained cold throughout, even with the heating. We had to change room on the first day despite the hotel being a no smoke zone, ours stank of cigarettes. No problem though, they changed the room immediately. Very convenient location, lots of food places and super close to Jinyu Hutong Subway Line 8.

The rooms and location are the best part of the hotel. The wifi doesnt work and you will need to use your data. I complained to reception few times but they kept saying that some websites are restricted in China. When I was using wifi in different locations in Beijing I had no issue whatsoever so it definitely is poor wifi in the hotel only. Sadly we used all our data so it was rather expensive experience for us Staff at reception not very helpful and not friendly at all, where the Concierge staff were helping us with most things

I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Ming helped me plan out my days in the park. The included breakfast was really robust and the location can't be beat for proximity to the park and peace/quiet.

This hotel was excellent. The location was within walking distance to Forbidden City. Conveniently located to a lot of shopping- lots of local food near by. It had an excellent buffet style breakfast with many local and American options. Was extremely affordable. We had breakfast there everyday of our stay. The staff was super friendly and many spoke English. The only thing which isn’t a deal breaker- the bathroom tub and toilet were a little dated but the rest of the room was excellent and beds were very comfy.

This hotel is close enough to pedestrian street, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and metro station. In saying that, as Beijing is huge, still exhausted with this close walk. Price is good. Staff is friendly. Room is big. Quiet, safe and clean. Bathroom facilities need upgrading though.
