Solid value near Summer Palace

This hotel is in the northwest part of Beijing. It is near the Summer Palace, Beijing University, and QingHua University. It is a 10-15 minute walk to two different subway stops (Yuanmingyuan and Xiyuan on line 4). The staff was friendly but did not speak English. The beds were hard, and the shower had no side boundary, so the water got all over the bathroom floor. The price was good, though it did not include breakfast.

Convenient if you need to stay near Summer Palace

Rooms are clean with hot showers. Beds are the typical hard Chinese mattresses. About 20 minute walk to subway station and 25 minute walk to Summer Palace. If you want to be near the main sights then this is not the place to stay. Hotel provides two bottles of water per day and tea.
