This is my second stay at City Loft! Needless to say, this is where I’d choose to stay even if I were a local…because I am! There are many parts to why this is a favorite, mainly because the people who work at this particular hotel are accommodating and also very genuine. I am thankful to have a place to go.

Nice but problems: The hotel is very nicely remodeled. Cleanliness was good. You could smell cleaning supplies. Everything appeared to be clean. Sitting areas outside were nice. Appeared to have bicycles for use. Convenient to shopping. A nice walk to shopping and on the water with nice local parks. Not a huge amount of restaurants but they are good. Problems for us were; The rain shower doesn't allow you to take a shower without getting your hair wet. The tub is VERY difficult to get in and out of. No safety bar to hold onto and the tile made it very slick. The bathroom is beautiful but was not thought through well. The hotel was missing a lot of expected amenities. They were deal breakers for us! We take coffee, tea and popcorn with us when we travel. There was no coffee maker (there is a coffee shop but they close at 6pm). There was not a microwave for hot tea, popcorn or restaurant leftovers. There was a refrigerator. There was no iron in the room, there was an ironing board but who wants to have to get dressed to go to the office to get an iron. There was no alarm clock. These things may have totaled $200 in cost for the hotel to make available. They could have left off the robes and supplied the basic expected items for the price the price of the robes. Don't drink the wine supplied its an extra cost.

Second Time
Nice place to stay. Pet Friendly. However the room smelled strongly from using bleach. Good parking. Stayed there the second time. Very convenient to walk to all of Old Beaufort.
