The Inn is living history , staying here is an oportunity to experience history and southern hospitality , the rooms are large an unusual , the Inn offers chef created dinners for a fixed price also there is bar service , location is unbeatable for water views and short walk to historical downtown shopping , the inn is unique and a rare find

We didn't like much our room (main level of the Inn), particularly the bathroom. It was dark and uncomfortable to use the sink. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast, and very nice and friendly staff.

This a historic hotel, not a modern glitzy place. The staff were excellent and treated you personally as if you were a cousin. It reminded me of how service used to be. It is located one block from town so everything is a short walk. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Staying at this historic hotel was an absolute delight. The property itself is full of charm, with beautiful preserved details. From the warm welcome we received from Emma to the wonderful breakfasts served each morning, nearly every aspect felt special. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for the perfect getaway. The hosts clearly take great pride in maintaining the property while ensuring the guests are comfortable. The only area that could use a bit of improvement would be the cleanliness of the room. While it was not a major issue, a more thorough cleaning would have made our stay flawless. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming and memorable stay.
