‘Waterfront’ is misleading. Hotel is very dated. Staff is kind. Carpet is stale. Parking always unavailable & over flow parking is off-site. ‘Breakfast included’ is misleading unless you like cornflakes & milk. No eggs. Not sure why house keeping has not returned to ‘normal’ post pandemic. You almost have to beg to get basic service. Our bed was not done in a 3 night stay. No towels. Carpet was never vacuumed. Do yourself a huge favour & book almost anything else. Won’t be returning.

Very good night stay. This was a wonderful stop over for our trip. Staff were very sweet and accomodating. Room was gorgeous. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the room before we ( family of 4, 2 littles under 6) took over lol. We even ordered uber eats late at night and delivery to the lobby was no problem at all. We had a great stay.

Not a terrible place to stay

Interesting hotel. I don’t know why hotels have wallpaper you can’t clean it and it showed as well as rips, etc. Staff were fantastic. I read something about you d proof rooms, far from it. I heard everyone in the hall, the cars on the street, and the room next to me playing Selena Gomez at stupid o’clock in the morning. Parking lot is small and at the back, so when you arrive you have to walk around the building but once you have your key card you can go in from the back door.

The hotel was in a great location to local restaurants and walking paths along the lake with nice kids amenities (playgrounds). The overflow parking was easy walking distance and felt safe (common sense do not leave valuable in the car). The rooms were modest and the beds were very comfortable and for our stay. I would definitely recommend staying at The Champlain Waterfront next time I visit Orillia.

Pipes in the basement room were extremely noisy but was easily accommodated to a new room on a different floor. No hassle or many questions, just did it. Also, accommodated an early early check in which was so greatly appreciated
