This is a beautiful property with an amazing view. The host was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We were there during heavy snow, and the property looked like a winter wonderland in every good way. The large windows in the main room gave us incredible views of the river, mountains, and snowfall. A unique aspect is an incredible musem-esque display of historical, setting appropriate items. We hope to stay at this property again.

My second stay at Sky River, needless to say we really love it! A wonderful log cabin right in the Skykomish, very private and cozy. Rustic in the good way, with most amenities but you will prefer to read a book, sit by the fire pit or float in the river. See you next year!

Overall our stay was wonderful! The details inside were so charming and was well stocked. Yard and proximity to water was a dream. Only downside was mattress quality- bed upstairs was sagging a lot and downstairs also lumpy.

This place was magical!! Absolutely breathtaking views from inside the house and the back yard. The house is very well stocked, the owners have really been able to anticipate what guests would be needing or possibly forgot to bring. My family and I were sad to check out and leave this place. Will definitely come back and continue to share this experience with my friends and family! The owner was always prompt to respond to any questions or assistance I needed!

This has to be the best cabin we have ever stayed in. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with kitchen items. It is tastefully decorated as well. It has to be the nicest cabin/house in the neighborhood and with the river running along the back yard the view and sound is perfect. The logs used to build this cabin are huge - probably 14-18 inches in diameter which helps keep the cabin well insulated. The Air Conditioning was very helpful early in our stay as it got close to 90 deg. F for a few days. Later in the week was cloudy and cool and then we were happy we had a fire pit outside and a fireplace inside. There is plenty of great hikes near the cabin as well as longer day trips to Leavenworth or even North Cascades National Park. We went on hikes every morning just to be sure we got back to enjoy the cabin, river and hot tub each afternoon and evening. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing home on the river!
My husband and I really loved our stay here. We just wanted a few days in nature and this place delivered so well. It was warm and sunny our first day, so we had an outdoor fire. It was chilly the next day so we had hot tub time overlooking the river. It snowed the next day so we spent the day by the fire. In all weather this place is fantastic. The kitchen has anything and everything you could need. Plenty of space and amenities with a comfortable bed. The river frontage is perfection. There’s high bank where the fire pit is but also a path down to the river for fishing/splashing/exploring. I’d love to come back with our son in the summer! We spent the whole time talking about how we can one day buy a property like this. Glad this exists in the meantime!!

Beautiful log cabin escape
This is a wonderful, beautiful place to stay, so close to Seattle and to the place we love to ski, Stevens Pass. Everything about this place shows the love the owners have for their little piece of paradise...it's beautiful. We could have done with a little less rain, but the cabin is so comfortable we didn't care, even though we were disappointed that the snow skiing was not good. The cabin is accurately represented on VRBO and the owners were delightful to deal with. We'll be back, and we recommend it to all.
