Our room smelt overwhelmingly of mold, woke up many times because of a sore throat. The card keys would stop working and had to be changed many times. Our room was right in the lobby and very loud. We booked this hotel for the fact that they advertised a game room, this was closed quite a while ago according to the receptionist. The lobby smelt overwhelmingly of body odor and the doors were propped open. Very disappointed in our stay at this location. Every concern we brought up was blamed on “corporate.”

The hotel is very old and the rooms smell like old stale smoke. The nightly rate for this hotel was obscene. Check in was very slow and only one employee was working so this wasn’t her fault. The mattresses were stained and there was so much dust and filth in the fans and bathroom fan. I couldn’t wait to get out of this hotel. I can’t say how the food was because I wouldn’t dare try it. I wish I could get some money back because this was such a rip off.

Room 105 had a strong musty odor upon arrival. While the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating, and promptly moved me to Room 107, that room also retained a slight mustiness. Although the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay, the overall condition of the establishment feels dated and is affected by persistent odors. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay again unless absolutely necessary.

Check in was great. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The place us simple but clean and close to everything. We stayed to see a show at Maine Savings Amphitheater. There is a gated area for dogs to run around. The grass was freshly cut when we arrived.
