Cozy and Private Log Cabin!

Beautiful log cabin with 32 acres of privacy. Great place to unwind. Cuddle by the fire or hike the surrounding land. Cabin has all the modern amenities. It is close to Lost River State Park, Rockcliffe Lake and Trout Pond. Also close to Mathias, Baker, Lost City, Wardensville, and Moorefield, WV. Seasonal views, excellent weekend getaway and an ideal place to escape and bond with nature next to a warm fireplace! We have security cameras located on the property. They are for the safety of our guests. Cameras are at the entrance doors. We also have game cameras in the woods. If you’re coming up in the winter time December through March make sure you check weather conditions. You will need a four-wheel-drive to get up our driveway if there is a lot of snow/ice. Otherwise if it’s clear there is no problem at all.

Outstanding Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway at this cabin. It was very clean and well stocked. It was a secluded location, but had good wifi so we were able to stay well connected with family. Would highly recommend this property.

The house and property were amazing. The house is secluded for privacy with an amazing view! We stayed there for a deer hunting trip and it definitely had the deer camp feel! Mike was awesome. I had to call him a few times for general information about the place and he was quick to answer every time. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a private getaway

Coziest of cabins!We had a wonderful stay here to see the peak foliage of the season. The home was accommodating for our group of 7. The house is far enough out from the towns that there is hardly any light pollution (great stargazing here) and no sounds from traffic. We traveled about 30 minutes to a hike in Lost River State Park to see the Cranny Crow Overlook (3hour hike!) Stunning views.The house was clean, well stocked, and accommodating.

Relaxing and Scenic Stay in the Mountains of W. Virginia

The cabin is beautiful as well as the property if sits on halfway up a mountain! We enjoyed hiking on the property and the seclusion of the cabin. It was great that each of the three bedrooms had their own full bath, and the two rooms/beds we used were very comfortable. The kitchen was great and the living room relaxing with the floor to ceiling windows on one side of the cabin! The owner was easy to contact when we had a problem turning off the fireplace on our arrival, and was easy to reach when we had another minor issue checking out. We plan to come back again!!

City Escape

A get away that was needed, we relaxed for the entire stay. When I say absolute silence that’s what I mean, the cabin is nice and cozy, the kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you need. Beds were comfortable, plenty of fresh linen. The communication the Mike was great! I know we’ll be back because my 5year old Princess didn’t want to leave and loved the loft all to herself! Sharing Christmas

Our son that lives in PA could not make it home for Christmas, so we decided to meet half way. The cabin was amazing, it had everything we needed and more. The weather was predicted to be pretty severe. Michael contacted us to say we could come a day early just in case. If you are looking for a peaceful property and a lovely cabin to stay in, this is your place.

I wish this host had a property at every location we travel to! The property and amenities were exactly as described, but Mike's hospitality was top notch. We had an unforeseen issue that was not in his control, but he took care of it ASAP! He was readily available for communication which was excellent. There were several pleasant surprises such as the basket of soaps, shampoos, conditioner, etc which was great as my daughter forgot something she needed and found it in the basket! The beds were SO comfortable and not having to pack our own linens and towels was a plus. I don't have a single disappointment about our stay.

I stayed here with all of my friends and it was an amazing stay! The host was very helpful and the house was very clean and spacious. The property was beautiful and secluded which gave us a nice, peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and fun vacation!

Cozy Cabin Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was a pretty cabin with just about everything we needed: fully stocked kitchen, screen-in porch, and even grill in the backyard. The bathrooms looked recently renovated, but the basement was unfinished. Not a far drive away from good hikes. The only surprise was that there weren’t three separate bedrooms - it was one master and two twin beds in the loft upstairs.

Getaway in the woods

Fairly remote very quiet house on mountain side in the woods. Good for family weekend away, lots of space for kids to run around. 20 mins from Lost River State Park where there are nice hiking trails.
