A trip back in time to 80s retro style, not much has been updated. Bed clean and comfortable, and although everything very 'tired', it seemed clean enough and did not smell. Wifi good. Don't be fooled by the nice photo used for advertising taken at the front! A 2.5 - 3 star old fashioned NZ motel.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. If you had problems you should have let us know. Do you mean that the brand new TVs and air con look tired? From memory you arrived fairly late and left early. We do have nicer rooms available but they cost more. We also have four star accreditation assessed by a reliable source..

Very run down and needs a major clean. BBQ unuseable as was outdoor furniture. Bath was old and scabby.

Thank you for your review. I wish you had voiced your concerns at the time rather than bottling them up. If you had done so maybe we could have mutually found a way around your problems. Article 11 of our Terms of Stay which your husband agreed to abide by the Terms require this when he signed the Registration Card We don't use the BBQ any more. A lot of our guests tend to be corporate and they are not interested in such things. Also the guests who are interested tend to sit outside and make noise whilst the corporates are trying to get some sleep. Even if it was working I doubt if you could've used it in the blustery conditions that were around when you were here. We wouldn’t want another Australian fire in Auckland would we?! That also applies to the outdoor furniture. We've been waiting for summer to come. It's just not pleasant to sit out there over the winter and as I said it's just not pleasant enough at the moment either - especially the night that you stayed. When it finally gets warm we'll get them tidied. As for the bathroom it is fully functional. I can't see anything wrong with the bath. One thing I would say is that when you made the booking you were asked to provide a credit card to guarantee the booking. You provided a debit card number and if there were not sufficient funds in the account to meet your contractual obligations you are technically committing fraud. You didn't have sufficient funds on your number. Also it normally takes one hour to clean the room you were staying in. When you left it took two hours to clean the room.
