Great property but Rooms are NOT as advertised
We were really looking forward to our stay here for our first trip to Aspen. We booked the Deluxe Upgraded highest tier room you could book based on the photos online. The photos both on Hotels.com & on the hotel website show only upgraded rooms as the Deluxe options & non-upgraded rooms as the standard options so we assumed we would get what we saw advertised & we did not. Our room had which again was the highest price tier had not been upgraded since the 80's or 90's. The rooms pictured are not what we received & we were told by the property that the rooms all have different owners & some have been upgraded & some have not & even the staff said they don't know which rooms have been renovated vs not. Needless to say we were very upset that we did not get what we paid for & was told the hotel was completely sold out & this was the only room avail. I have traveled all over the world & stayed at hundreds of hotels for both work & leisure & have never experienced this. The property itself is great, but the need to do a better job of accurately advertising what they are selling. The proximity to Buttermilk can't be beat & other resorts are closeby but this issue really put a damper on our trip.
