We stayed here at the beginning of December while visiting the Biltmore. I wish it had been warmer because the views of the surrounding mountainside are beautiful, and the porch with the rocking chair and porch swing would have been a perfect way to relax. The house is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, including pans, pots, a teapot, and a coffee maker. We loved the gas fireplace with a remote control and used it several times. It quickly heated the house. The living room had a comfy couch, loveseat, and recliner. Only Roku is available on the TV, but we didn't spend much time watching it.The master bedroom is quite large, with a connected bathroom that offers plenty of room. The bedroom with two twin beds needs more storage space for clothes. The bedroom with the queen bed was spacious and had plenty of storage. The only two downsides are the low water pressure. Getting shampoo out of my hair took quite a while! The beds are pretty firm, and one family member slept on the couch because it was too firm for her.It took about 25 minutes to get to the Biltmore or downtown Asheville. There are no streetlights on the windy roads leading to the house, which can be a little daunting at night, but makes for nice stargazing.Overall I would recommend this cozy retreat on your next trip to the Smoky Mountains or Asheville.
