Good place to stay

Nice area, geographically. Cool town, out of the way, and the hotel's location makes it convenient to get to the trails, the drinkeries, and the groceries. Staff was very friendly, spoke little English, but accommodated my poor French with grace.

Nice old Hotel but has the potential to be so so much more if the decor was done to match the look of the interior and some other little updates were done. I can definitely say it was a very clean hotel. Our key barely worked for our door or the outer door because the cut of the key was off. It took us about 10 minutes fumbling with our keys to get into the room which isn't fun when you are coming off the road from a 12 hour drive. I had to look up our continuing route on my lap top and the girl was not very accommodating when my sister went to get Wi-Fi password. The password should be written and available in the room. Didn't get pics of room but did get lobby. The old wood is beautiful.

It was our second time staying here. Really charming former mining town which has re-invented itself. Hotel is older in decor but extremely clean and well maintained. Front desk man helpful including with their weird shower handles which work great but need a bit of a tutorial. Convenient location near the former Jeffrey Mine and Val Des Sources downtown strip. Overall we would rec'd staying here when in the area.
