Tall Trees Eco Retreat - Blackwood Cottage

Blackwood Cottage is one of three guest cottages found at Tall Trees Eco retreat. Set up amongst the trees this cottage has the perfect vantage point of the surrounding forest which is a haven for bird life and other native animals. Blackwood Cottage has two bedrooms, a balcony with views over the valley, a fully equipped kitchen, gas bbq and private spa bath.

A great place to disconnect, no mobile phone reception and limited satellite internet from reception only. Great place to relax and unwind or use it as a base to explore the Great Ocean Road.

The property is 170 acres of forest, fern gullies and partially cleared grazing land. We have several walking tracks and glow worms that can be seen at night. We have a small herd of Alpacas that roam freely and can often be seen sitting outside the cottages

Barham River Road is quite narrow and windy so please drive carefully.
Recent storms have left the road with some damage due to landslips. Just prior to our driveway the road has collapsed on the left hand side rendering it single lane only.

I offer a self check-in service and prefer to give guests space. Should you need anything at all please come to reception. If I am not available leave a message on the whiteboard at the door and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tariffs are based around numbers of guests staying. The numbers of guests staying and or bedding requirements needed will determine whether the Queen or Single bedrooms are accessible or not. The Queen & Single bedrooms will be made accessible based on the number of extra adults or children selected. Singles wanting bedrooms / beds for a single sleeper will absorb a surcharge. Infants stay free when sleeping with parents in a Queen bed / bedroom.
Please note for access to bedrooms:
- When booking for 2 guests, you will have access to 1 bedroom, which has a queen-sized bed.
- When booking for 3 or 4 guests, you will have access to 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds.

Please note if each guest requires a separate bedroom:
- When booking as 2 single guests, who require separate bedrooms, please select `3 guests` when booking, to gain access to 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds.

If bedding and room access is not requested, using the special request box or contact details found on the booking confirmation, prior to arrival, additional charges may be charged.

All bookings, regardless of numbers, have sole and private use of the entire cottage.
