We had a fantastic early check-in experience at 11:00 AM, where the front desk employee graciously substituted our twin beds for a ready king room and stored our luggage. This exceptional start made our trip to Delft seamless.
Unfortunately, when we first entered our room, it was visibly unprepared; the linens were rumpled, suggesting the bed hadn't been made up from the previous guest. We immediately notified the desk and were told it would be addressed. However, upon returning at 5:30 PM, the room was still not serviced.
A second front desk employee, realizing housekeeping had left for the day, immediately took ownership of the problem. She personally changed the bedding for us and, as a wonderful gesture of apology, left a card in the room offering two complimentary drinks at the hotel restaurant. This level of proactive, solution-oriented service truly elevated our experience and turned a negative into a positive.
The rooms on the front side of the hotel may experience significant noise disturbance from the street, which continues well into the night. If you are a light sleeper, request a room facing the interior courtyard.
