I stayed here with some friends and for a group of three of us the room was really spacious which we really liked. However the hotel is very masculine and the lighting is quite dim, the masculinity also seems to be present in the brutalist architecture and decoration of the rooms. The room was clean however was quite dusty. The hotel is a great place to stay in terms of being able to get to the Amsterdam central easily, the bus stop is a 5 ish mins walk away and there is also tram options too. I am happy with my stay at the niu.

We enjoyed the quiet location and easy walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam Central. The hotel breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful and pleasant.

No microwave isn't great or at least a publically availabe one in the lobby would be better. Otherwise, it's surprisingly convenient and located in a safe and quiet area.

There is only a black out curtain in the room and the windows are huge and looking directly into other windows. There is no privacy screen that lets in light. Breakfast price is high. Hotel is clean, staff are nice, room size is perfect. Is a hike from the centre of the city which is great for getting away from the noise but a workout for your legs or wallets.

I really like the location and staff. They are very friendly and professional. This trip we found the grounds were full of trash that people left. It’s unfortunate people leave their trash for others to clean up. The housekeeping was not good . One day they left a do not disturb sign on our door . The other day they attempted to make our bed but it was very u professional. The halls had not been vacuumed and there was food in the hall.

The staff were very friendly and provided a quick check-in/out experience. The room was very clean and spacious. The design of the room was elegant and I liked that there was no carpet other than an area rug under the bed. The bed was quite comfortable and my daughter enjoyed the sofa bed which could easily sleep two people. I liked that they made it so the doors were soft close so you didn't hear them slamming shut when people would leave their rooms. The only noise we really heard was when the people above were stomping around which is typically in most hotels. The only negative is the hotel is not close to the attractions, food or shopping and it is a bit of a walk to the bus stops.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Great breakfast!

Although not in the city center, this gem of a hotel is really only a 10 minute bus ride and short walk away. Everyone was Incredibly professional, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I would say that the rooms need more lighting- it seemed a bit dark to me. Other than that, I Highly recommend!

Lovely clean and friendly hotel. Beds super comfy. Breakfast plentiful. Loved Amsterdam & Edam & villages. Hotel is a bit of a way from city but so easy to get to on the 22 bus about 8 minute walk,straight to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Beautiful area around hotel ,with a supermarket and other restaurants nearby. We would happily stay here again. Think rooms that overlook other buildings would be better with blinds or a net curtain on windows as they are big. And free tea/coffee facilites in the room ,would be a nice touch ,especially after getting back from the city. All in all though, a great hotel and would recommend
