Big disappointment

facility is run down and outdated. Outdoor pool was not heated and no towels. Indoor pool was cold but doable, full of sand and nothing wiped down. hot tub was also full of sand, no jets working and full of kids. no monitoring. bathrooms were out the door and up the steps so you can imagine where the little ones were peeing! sat at the outdoor bar for several hours watching the kitchen staff and servers. there was no system for getting the food out hot. we saw food sitting for 20 minutes before that server came back from an errand even though there were 3 other servers standing and waiting for their food. we waited over an hour for chicken nachos. it came out immediately after we asked about it the 3rd time. it was simply chips drenched in queso and topped with stringy chicken. we had to ask for sour cream and some salsa in order to make it edible. It appears the new ownership may be letting it go and possibly has other plans for that property I was totally shocked at how bad it was and will not be visiting that property in the future. Big disappointment!!!

Property was very clean. Staff was very pleasant but obviously inexperienced. The outdoor pool stayed a little grungy after a rain. The hot tub only had two jets working. Expedia mentioned 2 restaurants but only the outdoor one with limited menu was consistently open. Breakfast was available in main restaurant but again, staff was very pleasant but very inexperienced.

We liked that it was on the lake. There were options for boat rentals. However, our room was not clean. We had our maid service sign out and never got cleaning service. We had to get additional towels from the front desk. The wall paper was bubbling and peeling in the room. The toilet lid was cracked. The front desk staff was not helpful at all. The property in general needs a lot of upkeep. We don’t travel a lot but this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at

buffet was not at all what was advertised. water leaking from duct onto night stand. goose poop everywhere, no dock at boat landing. pool bar closed. garbage all over that area too

Do not recommend We stayed here as a family of 5 in one of their lodge rooms. We were planning to have our 2 year old sleep in a pack and play. We called on the day of our arrival to confirm that they had them available and requested that one be dropped in our room ahead of time. We were told that they had them available for use but that we just needed to ask at the time of check-in. Based on this information, we decided to leave our pack and play at home. Upon arrival, only a few hours after calling and only 30 minutes after the designated check-in time, we were told by someone at the front desk that they had just given out their last pack and play and that they didn't have one for us. This was very frustrating since we called ahead of time to confirm. They front desk employee seemed unsympathetic and simply offered to put our name on a list should one become available. We never heard from them afterward. We did our best to make it work, cramming an adult and 2 kids into one bed, but our 2-year old, who has never slept in a big bed, was not able to fall asleep and as such kept the rest of us up until late into the evening. This experience, coupled with the poor planning and communication from the resort staff, made our stay at Arrowwood one to forget. I attempted to contact the resort after our stay ended using the contact form on their website to share our experience, but never heard back from anyone. The lodge rooms were also dark and in need of updating.

The location of the property and the views of Lake Darling are beautiful. I have been going to this property for over 20 plus years and was so disappointed with how run down the property has become. Such a shame ;( carpet torn in our room, bathroom dated and dark in need of repair. Water from bathroom and kitchen tap was yellow? Out of certain items on their menu? Food items high priced.

The property is not kept up. There are plenty of amenities and fun activities to do, but the quality of equipment and cleanliness of the property is poor. We had no running water for a few hours on the entire property!
