The Space:

Chestnut Tree Lodge is a perfect spot for family reunions and group getaways. This 2500 sq ft mid-century chalet, located in protected forestland, features 5 bedrooms across 2 floors, two living areas, plus a game room and playroom for kids. Recently renovated, it provides easy access to hiking, Hickory Run State Park, and Jim Thorpe. Relax in the hammock under the Chestnut Tree, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy s'mores around the firepit overlooking 17,000 acres of wild forest.

Unwind on the two velvety, emerald green sofas. Watch Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, play games, or simply enjoy the gas fireplace.

The kitchen, open to the living area, features a dining table for 12 and a peninsula bar with seating for 2. It is fully equipped for preparing snacks, meals, and cocktails.

The house is fully stocked with soft, hotel-quality sheets, bath & hand towels, duvets and soft blankets, and ready for your getaway! No need to bring anything, unless you'd like an extra towel for the hot tub or the beach. We provide one deluxe bath towel per guest, plus plenty of hand towels and washcloths are stored in the bathrooms.

PERFECTION IN THE POCONOS

The first floor offers a second living room, game room, and kids' play area, separate from the upstairs. A large sofa faces a WiFi-enabled flatscreen TV, perfect for group movie nights. Enjoy Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch or the digital Star Wars pinball machine. There's also a cozy reading nook under the stairs for little guests.

Guest Access:
You'll have access to the entire home and grassy 1-acre yard, plus there's a lot to explore right outside in the woods and protected 17,000 acre nature preserve adjacent to the house.

The Neighborhood:
Chestnut Tree Lodge is located in Hickory Run Forest, a lightly-populated and sleepy mountain community in the heart of the Poconos mountains, 5 minutes from Albrightsville, PA. The house feels isolated once you're there, but you're ideally situated to enjoy northeastern Pennsylvania's famous local skiing, hiking, tubing, and waterparks!

HOUSE RULES-
The primary renter on all reservations must by 25 years of age or older. Please respect the neighborhood and keep outside noise to a minimum after 11pm. No more than 14 guests are permitted to stay overnight. Additional overnight guests will be charged a penalty of $100 per person.

PETS: One well-behaved and housebroken pet is welcome with a $75 pet cleaning fee. Additional pets are subject to host approval and an additional $75 fee to help out our cleaning staff.

SMOKING: Please no smoking in the house at any time, thanks!

PARTIES: UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Low-key getaways, birthday gatherings and family reunion type-things are totally okay and encouraged! Please do not use confetti or glitter at the house. Any confetti or glitter found will result in an additional cleaning charge of $100/hr as needed.

Please note: Host will send a pre-registration document requesting the names and vehicle information for all guests of the Lodge about ten days prior to the start of your reservation. Host will also send a hold harmless waiver for the primary renter to sign, per insurance requirements.

The homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. World-renowned Pocono Raceway, aka ‘The Tricky Triangle’ is only 10 miles from Chestnut Tree Lodge. You’re only minutes away from world-class racing excitement! On non-race weekends, speed enthusiasts can get a taste of the action with a thrilling Stock Car Racing Experience and behind-the-scenes track tours.

If you’re in search of more outdoor adrenaline-pumping entertainment, world-famous Skirmish Paintball is only 10 minutes away in nearby Albrightsville, PA.

The Poconos is truly a four-season destination and there’s always something new to explore! Other local attractions include:

The Poconos offers hiking experiences for those with any level of fitness or ability, from a short stroll around Weiser State Forest (tucked 100% within our community, only 5 mins away from the house!), a lovely lake (nearby Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area is a short drive) to a more rugged trail at nearby Tank Hollow or Hickory Run State Park. And many more that you can discover on the very thorough AllTrails app!

Getting Around:
We highly recommend exploring the Poconos and the area around the Chestnut Tree Lodge by car so you can really take advantage of everything the area has to offer!

Interaction with Guests:
Guests have the house all to themselves. However, we are available by phone or text anytime to answer questions or provide information. There is a coded door lock (plus a back up lock box) for 24-hour access.
