Beautiful and clean

We had a lovely experience at Lagoons and the steak at the restaurant is one of the best I've ever had!

Disappointed this time round

Have stayed here before and loved it. Made an effort to drive the long way to stay there (due to recent floods) After a long day driving, was really looking forward to sitting on the balcony and relaxing. Arrived only to be disappointed at the 'view'. Having stayed before, we knew the balcony rooms had glass and were either over looking the pool or garden courtyard / road. Well not our room that was shoved away in a corner with a total view of a colourbond roof. I did not pay $230+ a night to overlook a roof. There were plenty of cancellations due to the recent flood, and that's the best room they could give us? It made us not spend money at the restaurant. We went and supported another local business instead. We would have not booked had we known we were getting an obstructed view. Full buffet breakfast does not include coffee. Had to wait for fresh items to come out if you wanted anything to be hot. Delicious if you can wait. Spa bath was great!

Disappointing

Pros: clean inside rooms and spacious.
Cons: Some front of house staff . The lady who was on as we booked out was lovely. Their willingness to fix mixups and problems with rooms.
Location: Lark, beach,
Staff not helpful(in fact quite unpleasant).Bugs every where(obviously not their fault)but very unpleasant. The room we got was not what we had paid for, and it wasn't a cheap place to stay. The staff when asked to change our room were not helpful. We ended up with a room that overlooked a main access road to a beach and were told we had a garden view, when we wanted a pool view. Certainly not my idea,or anyone's i would think, of a "garden". Having a spa on the balcony overlooking a road with bugs flying on you and landing in it are not my idea of resort style accommodation. When asked to fix our television, that wasn't working on the station that we wanted to watch something (and the next room had this station working) we were informed there was nothing they could do. To watch the upstart manager falling all over channel 9 presenters and crew, as we were leaving, and turn his back on us, says it all. To be fair, the rooms inside were very nice and clean

Excellent rooms and food, service terrible

Stayed for 2 nights and the rooms and motel staff were excellent and more than willing to help, the food at the restaurant is sensational but the wait staff are the worst I have ever experienced! After 15 minutes watching people around me get served and order drinks I had to go to the bar and order mine! They kept walking past like we were ghosts.
