"Amazing staff"
The manager was able to check us in late as our flight arrived late at night. He also drove us to the airport since the shuttle was running late. Overall it was a good stay and the staff was very welcoming.

"Convenient overnight stay "
We choose this hotel as we needed an overnight at Palm Cove to catch up with friends. The room was clean, comfortable & quiet at a reasonable price. For a longer beach holiday we would have chosen a room with ocean views however this wasn't necessary for this stay. The breakfast in the morning was adequate and well presented.

Lovely place to stay. Was apparently booked out but only heard someone else once in all the time we stayed there. Room was great. veranda floor was a little dirty but that may be just the salty air. Lots of Restaurants within walking distance everything was in walking distance. Highly recommended.

"Nice accommodation that is perfectly located ."
What a great place to holiday! Palm Cove is a great holiday destination and the staff at Mantra Amphora were terrific. We were late booking our break and could only get a one bed "Hotel " room but it was perfectly fine for what we needed. It had a balcony we could relax on and all the restaurants were moments away, with the beach directly opposite.

"Great location on Palm cove beach"
Fab spacious rooms ideal for family of 4 with well equipped kitchen and brilliant bathrooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Liked the lagoon pools. Just a short walk to the beach. Lovely setting. Bad points - our room had absolutely no view of beach or pool; just a disused field next door. Spa was pricey.

    Pocket Guide: Palm Cove

Tropical North Queensland is renowned for its hidden coastal delights and unspoiled beaches, and located halfway between Cairns and Port Douglas, you will find one of its best. Palm Cove offers everything that a tropical paradise should, from spectacular coastline complete with palm fringed beaches, to a relaxed waterfront promenade. Browse our range of Palm Cove accommodation and book your own little slice of heaven.

Aboriginals inhabited the Palm Cove area as long as 60,000 years ago! It's believed that the Chinese might have visited the area about 3,000 years ago and that Captain Cook may have come ashore and filled up his water bottle before continuing down the coast. It wasn't until 1873, however, that Europeans began to settle here and it was the mid 1950s before the region was officially named "Palm Cove".

    Things to do

As with the rest of Queensland’s coast, the beach is the biggest attraction while you stay in Palm Cove. With pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, Palm Cove Beach is not only beautiful, but voted one of Australia’s best.

Once you've sufficiently swum, relaxed and worked on your tan, why not head out for a snorkel or a dive on the stunning Great Barrier Reef?

    Shopping and dining

Wander the beachside promenade and discover boutique stores, cafés and bars hiding beneath ancient melaleucas and swaying palm trees. Palm Cove has been built around the natural surroundings – rather than on top of them – further preserving the unspoilt feel of this idyllic coastal gem. So enjoy your meals and cocktails with breathtaking waterfront views.

    Getting here and around

The nearest airport is the Cairns Airport, about half an hour away, so be sure to nab one of these cheap flights to Cairns. Once you arrive, you can catch a coach bus from the airport to Palm Cove and then get around on foot. On the other hand, if you're planning on exploring some of the other towns in the Tropical North, consider hiring a car at the airport.

So wot are you waiting for? Book a room in one of our Palm Cove hotels listed and don't forget to pack your sunscreen!
