Aboriginals inhabited the Palm Cove area as long as 60,000 years ago! It's believed that the Chinese might have visited the area about 3,000 years ago and that Captain Cook may have come ashore and filled up his water bottle before continuing down the coast. It wasn't until 1873, however, that Europeans began to settle here and it was the mid 1950s before the region was officially named "Palm Cove".

coast, the beach is the biggest attraction while you stay in Palm Cove. With pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, Palm Cove Beach is not only beautiful, but voted one of Australia’s best.
