I had booked 1 nights stay at a GC hotel as a present for my sons birthday. After booking I received an email saying there was nothing more to do, no need to call to confirm booking etc etc etc. So I mentally locked that away in the “sorted” pile. So you can imagine I was shocked on the day of checkin (with husband + 2 kids) to be told by the hotel checkin staff Wotif had cancelled the reservation the day after I had booked it. We were away from home with no where to stay. What a disaster. I have no confidence in booking with wotif again.

If Wotif wants feedback, start with yr IT Section….shouldn’t wait so long to access the feedback….and the WOTIF competition is inaccessible…not allowing my mobile phone no. to be accepted…..not happy Jan!!!

My experience in changing a hotel booking, bringing it forward by two days, should have been quick and straight forward. While the end result was okay, the half-hour spent dealing with an inexperienced call centre operator in Mumbai was excruciatingly frustrating. Please do away with international babel towers and skill-up locals who understand the vernacular.
