Wotif was great to deal with however, the room that I booked at Dolphin Heads Resort in Mackay was not nice, it was old and outdated, beds were uncomfortable and old, mouldy patio where it has not been cleaned for I don’t know how long, possum poo over the patio table and chairs. Bins overflowing with rubbish nearby and smelt. Paid $112 for a garden room and was put facing the car park where as my friends got a ocean view room through AIRBNB for half the price @ $60 and their room was clean, beds were new and comfortable, patio very clean, no smelly bins nearby. I should have gone through AIRBNB.

I’m an Australian living in Texas. I’m visiting Australia soon. I had already checked the website of the motel that I wanted to stay at on the Gold Coast, but they had no suitable rooms for 4 people. I went to Wotif as I used to do more than a decade ago when I traveled a lot for business in Australia. They astonishingly had the room that I wanted, at the motel that I wanted. I booked it immediately. Great service, used to often save me some dollars when I was in business there in Oz.

The booking process was very easy, just would have been nice if I could check out a pic of the room I’d booked first but that’s not Wotifs fault, I’d say the hotel itself didn’t enable that

As my first ever booking experience I found it much easier than I feared. Considering it is school holidays I managed to book a hotel /motel just where I wanted it and at the lowest price.

I was very happy with the service I received. My issue ( due to my own mistake) was dealt with on the call in a professional manner. The phone operator kept me well informed and set reasonable expectations. Job well done
