The lack of flexibility unless you pay up to 25% more for bookings makes using Wotif a poor option. I had an experience recently when I realised I had booked the wrong hotel after 5 hours because of a similar name. I couldn’t cancel and lost my room fee. This is not the case on Booking.com where you can cancel up to 48 hours from the booking date. I learn’t my lesson. I will only book on this site as a last resort.
December 3, 2018Looked online, found a good property at a good price. Compared the prices with other websites and they Wotif was the cheapest price. After filling in my details and payment details, I submitted. It came back stating the price has gone up, more than $200. So I had to pay the extra cost in order to book it. The cost was no different to other websites, at least they were honest and up front. This is the second time it has happened to me on Wotif. Wondering if this is a way to make you pick Wotif in your search then sting you at the end. Not happy.

December 1, 2018When I booked the wotif site said I could pay the accom provider on departure. But then I couldn’t finalise the booking without providing a credit card. So I did that. Then an hour or so later I received a receipt from the accom provider. They have a cancellation policy which would I would lose the entire amount of payment. Wotif needs to make this info way more obvious and transparent.
November 24, 2018Wotif was and always has been excellent but that hotel that we went to was bad staffed I called them 7 times when we were diving around lost and when we finally foung the place the staff member that was there was on the landline talking to his friend ..parking was far from the place and we had to talk across shops with all of our thing but I guess that part is Sydney but then the beds felt more like hammocks you could hear all the noise from the above floor which was a bit much as they had children I am asumming from the running around as newly weds it was bad for us as we did not feel safe making any noises ourselves and on check out time we were just guven a remote control for the garage were we parked to bring back when we finished we cost us more driving around as we do not know the area so we could park in front to bring it back in and when we did there was nobody at the front desk to give it to…

STAFF LOVELY ,BUT COULDN’T REMOVE PARTY GOERS NEXT DOOR.WE LEFT AT 3 AM BECAUSE OF THE NOISE.THE BUNK BED WAS BUILT OVER THE MAIN BED AS THE ROOM WAS TOO SMALL TO ACCOMODATE 2 BEDS IN ROOM.BLACK MOULD NEEDS CLEANING AROUND THE SHOWER BASE AND WALLS.
November 21, 2018I had to cancel the second night’s booking and was informed that due to this change I would not receive the 15% discount on dinner at the motel.
However I put through a separate booking just for the one night and lo & behold I was offered a 15% discount on dinner.
I could not be bothered with cancellation & re-booking despite the fact that there were a magical 2 vacancies still available, as at the time of the original booking!
I am not impressed!
