Through my booking I was able to select the “Pay Later” option, being told that the money would be taken by the hotel upon checking in, however the hotel immediately attempted to take the money from my account as Wotif had requested my credit card with a $0 charge to secure the booking.
After many discussions with the hotel, they stated that they did not do this and would cancel my booking if I could not pay at least one nights accommodation up front, which I did not have available to spare at the time but they took anyway without my go ahead. I was booking this for work purposes and was being reimbursed by my workplace after attending the function.
Will definitely not book with another hotel that says it offers the “Pay Later” option again, as they insist on taking the money immediately.
