Pretty seamless experience really, once I had found a hotel that suited me, the booking and payment were straightforward. I have used Wotif before and am happy with their service levels.
I did find the room choices annoying, where the same room was available at several different prices, with the same terms and conditions. I guess you would have to be pretty dumb not to go for the cheapest. This maybe the fault of the hotel.

I searched for accomodation close to Melbourne university and distance from the uni was important to me. I won’t be using a car. The results rarely mentioned distance to the uni which sites usually do when it is in the search term but the maps enabled me to work it out.

The service and accommodation was great we had a problem in as much this accommodation was booked in advance due to my brother undergoing surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital and thing did not go well for him we where called to Sydney 1 day earlier that our booking and contacted Avoca Lodge on our way to Sydney, they arrange for our room to be available on Monday 16th Sept our original booking was from the 17th to the 19th. My brother passed away in the early hours of the 17th and we stayed until the 18th explaining to Avoca Lodge that we would need to vacate our rooms early to return home to make funeral arrangements. I enquired as to a refund of the unused accommodation cost and they said we would need to contact Wotif re any refund. Is it possible to look at this request as the untimely death of my brother through out all our booking arrangements.
