It is twice now I booked a motel room and yet it somehow transferred on different dates and when I went to those motels in separate weekends to stay, they informed me my booking was on different dates! I was nearly out of a place to stay! This is a unreliable service and now I have lost money because I copped the cancellation fees and price hike to stay the night I wanted to which I should of been in the first place when I booked on line. I was told by both motel owners this is not uncommon and they have had the same hassles with other poor clients nearly having nowhere to stay! I am done now! I will be finding a new service and after watching current affairs tonight. I support Harvey Norman with these over seas rip off joints. I was a long time user for Wotif, but now my friends and family won’t be using this service now as well. It’s a good thing with media to show how people get conned in to dates that they can’t commit to and not the dates they intentionally booked! Goodbye WOTIF and Expenditure! I will book directly through motels now!! 🙂

Required a passport at checkin and did not state when booking. Don’t own a passport, refused drivers license as ID. First night fee still charged. Very disappointed

I’ve avoided using agencies such as yours, Hotels.com etc, when booking accommodation as I’ve often found that I’ve been short measured in some way eg, less favorable cancellation conditions ( very important to me ) to name one, when compared with purchase direct from the hotel. The hotel tariff also has been as good as or better than the agents offer.

It’s happened again! I recently booked a room for one night at the Kings Canyon Resort NT. What I got for $404 was a standard room with breakfast.When I looked up the Kings Canyon Resort website, they offered the same deal ($404 with breakfast ) but it also included a free BBQ meal for two persons.

I would imagine you hotel agencies operate on the premise that by buying in bulk from the hotels at a cheaper overall room rate, you can pass some of these savings onto potential customers.This to me is how it should work. Not by sneakily taking off some of the additional benefits ( “add ons” ) as in my case.

Wotif won’t have the opportunity to do this to me again.

Not happy with booking arrangements.
I had a tight budget and was offered a 8% discount if I booked.
I made a booking based on this offer. Credit card was deducted for full amount.
I assume I authorised this but thought the booking was going to be under $400 and consequently got hit with a credit card fee of $30 to honour the payment.
Therefore not a good experience.

SCAM ALERT: hotel was ‘over booked’ so was transferred to an older hotel in a less convenient location, at the same price! Rubbish!!! If you have to book with wotif – don’t pay upfront!

Wotif are scammers & thieves. Your website said I would pay $121 if I paid at the time of booking or $125 if I paid upon arrival at the motel. I paid when booking & you have charged me the higher price. I use your site quite often. NEVER AGAIN. Dick Smith was right when he said you were thieves. Be warned.

The 2 bedroom apartment we had was disappointing and did not meet the expectations of the photos on line.The apartment was dirty – dirty walls, carpet and couches. Requested an alternative – both options were much the same as the original apartment. The staff we dealt with were fantastic but had no other options to offer. Also important to note that as we paid Wotif on line, we couldn’t even get a further discount. These apartments are very well situated but need a major overhall. Other issues were that the front door did not have a security latch and the stairs leading down to bedrooms were creaky and unstable. This is 1 star accommodation for a 4 star price. Will not make the same mistake again.

Accommodation was clean, but staff at the time were indifferent and unhelpful when asked about anything, and in the end I was not able to obtain an on-the-spot tax invoice for my stay. Instead, I was directed to go online and contact WOTIF for this, but when I did that, WOTIF simply directed me back to the hotel I had stayed in – completely unacceptable!
