I have been trying to cancel or change a booking at Hervey Bay but I have had no success reaching anyone or being able to communicate on any medium. If I can’t reach anyone or have any communication I will definitely not be booking on Wotif again.

Unprofessional and possibly illegal.

My accommodation was somehow double booked, so I cancelled via wotif. This cancellation did not go through to VRBO, so the booking persisted without my knowledge. The host was able to change the dates of my booking (due to the double up) without my consent. I now have no power to cancel this booking for a full refund as it is now too close to the date. VRBO say they need the owner’s authorisation to override the cancellation policy. The owner is uncontactable by both VRBO and myself. Getting the consumer affairs ombudsman involved now. Very stressful and time consuming. Can confidently say I will never book with any Expedia affiliated companies ever again, and will tell anyone who will listen to do the same.

I booked a room on short notice after I got the dates wrong and the hotel I booked said they had no rooms available this is after I rang to find out if they would take a walk up but there were no rooms so they showed my girlfriend the door at around 1030 at night .. so I want to thank this piece of crap hotel for throwing my girlfriend out the door and on the street at 1030 at night so it is obvious you support these hotel how a women like this .. I will make everyone I know this is how you treat women … I hope every women in Australia eventually find out how you treat a women traveller .. disgusting behaviour to show a women the door at 1030 at night with no help offered ..oh yes they will be

Terrible. I booked a hostel on there site. Paid the money and turned up to the hostel to find out they’re still renovating and no one can stay til the following week. So all day tried to get my money back, both Wotif and the hostel were kind of rude when I was trying to get updates from them.

I did not book any dates for my hotel stay. Your website had some sort of a glitch. When I advised you of this you took my money, refused a refund and would not alter the dates that you had placed for me.
In essence, you stole over $200 from me using deceit and deception.
At NO time had I placed any dates for my hotel stay.. That was all you people.
You advised me that you had contacted the hotel in question and that they would not mover dates.. I spoke to them personally and was advised that this would be no issue.
You have stolen $200 and have used deceit, misinformation and deception when dealing with me.

my elderly mother tried to use the service and she booked for the wrong date. We had no reminder email and only found out she booked the wrong date when they asked by email 3 days later how her stay was. Tried to get credit or refund and was told no very bluntly
