The service and experience was terrible. I have used wotif for 15 years. The hotel was going to turn us away (when had paid) as wotif hadn’t sent the confirmation to the Novotel. My son was in tears. I tried to call wotif customer number and was hung up on 4 times (call back later) when we got through on a different number the hotel manager advised wotif had taken my payment without even confirming that the hotel had a room confirmed. This is in contravention of consumer laws and made for a very stressful experience for my kids and I. The customer service did not cut it. I will be escalating the matter as it ruined my last holiday treat for my kids

It was easy to book but I had to wait a long time to be served at reception when we arrived and the room was very rough for the price. I thought by paying a little more the room would have been a little nicer. It is very rough!

Horrible, i booked via wotif, advised payment required 7 days before stay and there is a 100% cancellation policy. Money for accommodation was taken out immediately and then i have given a refund minus bank charges! I’m minimum $200 out! never again will i book with you . Contact person was rude, terms and conditions mean nothing. i cancelled the same night I booked as the money was taken immediately and not as it stated!

I booked and paid straight away the 7 rooms in total that were listed as available on Wotif for our family weekend. As soon as I booked the rooms, I made other travel bookings for my family to attend this weekend from various places. Late that same night as I booked, I received a phone call from the hotel to say that they have over booked for that particular night and would have to cancel our 7 room bookings and they would arrange with Expedia to send me a refund. I was not impressed as I had already made other arrangements for the weekend that I could not receive a refund for if I cancelled.
Then today, (30/01/2023), I received another phone call from the hotel advising that I would need to cancel to obtain the refund – even though it was not me that wished to cancel the booking.
While the staff at the hotel were apologetic, they could not assist me in obtaining any other accommodation, or provide compensation for the other arrangements that I cannot get a refund from – therefore, I am extremely disappointed at this service and Expedia for advertising 7 vacant rooms at the hotel when there were none!

I got charged an extra $20 by the motel cause he said you guys took 10% off him and his hotel isn’t as cheap as you guys put it and he wasn’t going to give us the key unless we gave him the $20 ..

I’m not sure how it works with hotels but maybe make sure there’s rooms available before double booking.

Service was friendly but room was very unclean especially the bedding, lounge, light switches and phone it was dingey and poorly built. We left about 15 mins after check-in and stayed at another motel.
